Re: ATMA/GoMule/RWM etc - Help Thread

I have a problem with ATMA bank. It hit 1 073 741 824 gold and do not accept more gold.:nono: Looks like this is the limit because that number is exactly 2^30. Now I have to use GoMule gold bank. Can somebody tell me what is the gold limit in GoMule?

Re: ATMA/GoMule/RWM etc - Help Thread

The code says it's a signed integer, so 2^31, but I haven't tested it :dontknow:. GoMule has "projects" though, and the gold bank is per-project. You could move characters between projects if you reach this limit.

Re: ATMA/GoMule/RWM etc - Help Thread

I extracted the Runewords folder into my Diablo II directory and made the -direct -txt and \Runewords changes to my shortcut properties but when I gemmed my pike for insight nothing happened. I'm running Windows 7 if that matters. If someone has any ideas what I'm doing wrong I would be very grateful. Thanks.

Your problem is pretty common with new players. You are using the wrong base for Insight. Insight requires a 4 Socket Polearms/Staves not a Spear class. The Pike is a Spear class item and will never make Insight.

Re: ATMA/GoMule/RWM etc - Help Thread

No, it's on the first page. Here is a post I made a few pages back, as the link is a bit confusing IMO.

Should be the right one, here is the direct link, just to make sure you are indeed hitting the right link. Just click on the "0.1" I just downloaded it from there and it works fine for me. Make sure you have java installed though (if you have Gomule working this should work)

Re: ATMA/GoMule/RWM etc - Help Thread

Trying to use GoMule and received the following error. I'm able to open a character in GoMule and pick an item up onto the clipboard, then place into another character inventory. However this error occurs when attempting to save or close GoMule. Using Vista, downloaded latest version of Java. Thanks in advance, I'm pretty ignorant when dealing with this type of stuff.

Re: ATMA/GoMule/RWM etc - Help Thread

Using Vista, downloaded latest version of Java. Error: Can not create backup dir: C:\Program Files\Diablo II\save\GoMule.backup\W2012.03.04
The quoted parts are the key to what is producing the error. Starting with Vista and continuing with win7, MS decided to not allow non admin users access to modify the Program Files folder among others. GoMule does not have access to the Program Files folder so it cannot create a backup of the character you are transferring the item from/to. Java programs seem to be unable to be run as an admin even when running on an admin account. Are you running as an admin? If you are then you will need to do one of two things to be able to create backups. The easiest and least technical is to install D2 outside the Program Files folder. The slightly more technical is to change the user permissions for the Program Files folder to allow the user to modify the folder. Modifying permissions is pretty easy though. Use google to search for the steps if you decide to do this.

Re: ATMA/GoMule/RWM etc - Help Thread

Ok, I had been running in admin before, so I first attempted to modify permissions with google, but that didn't work. I then reinstalled the game and placed it into "MyDocuments" as I saw suggested in previous post here. Now I can't even get GoMUle to show the inventory of my character. I lost my saved game info, was only lvl 12 before, but curious if there are issues with GoMUle interacting with new characters?

Open to further suggestions to make this work, and then I'll be back I'm sure to work on RWM :)

edit: Ok, in my haste I had forgotten to modify the shorcut, things appear to be working. As far as a simple transfer between character inventories. Will attempt more once the need arrises. Likewise with RWM when I acquire the needed runes + base.

I'm trying to open/move my stashes to GoMule from ATMA but for some reason I can't see any of the stash files in the ATMA_CONFIG folder. The only time I can seem them is when I'm loading them from within ATMA. I can't see them from anywhere else on my computer including GoMule. Anyone know how to fix this?

I also get an error when trying to create stashes with GoMule and it doesn't save the stash.

Re: ATMA/GoMule/RWM etc - Help Thread

If your ATMA stash files are in AppData folder (Vista, Win7) they are hidden and GoMule can't trace that path.

Re: ATMA/GoMule/RWM etc - Help Thread

Choose 'show hidden files and folders' from forder options. Then you should be able to trace the path from GoMule. My ATMA folder is in UserFolder/AppData/Local/VirtualStore/ProgramFiles (x86)/ATMA V.

Re: ATMA/GoMule/RWM etc - Help Thread

Using 1.13 patched ATMA is SP (no other mods or modded items!) and notice that after dropping a failed Harmony Bow (server bit not set when making RW... had to try) in a ATMA stash that ATMA said it was Harmony (without all the bonus attribs).

Now, when I load ATMA and open the stash, I get this:
"Unknown magic property ID (320) at bit 203 in Large Siege Bow
Attempting to guess Large Siege Bow's item length (from offset 00000390) ... trying 26 bytes"

... which failed to guess properly, it seems. Bow is gone, along with rare glove added at same time. Of course I'd like the rare gloves back, but I can live without them.

Just posting this in case anyone finds it useful to see a fairly specific example of what can bring down ATMA. I have a backup of the trashed d2x, in case anyone has instructions on how to extract the 2 recent items out of it (looking at it with a hex editor, seems they are there), would appreciate just for my own information.

AR has issues in Gomule, I have seen it very high on my character as well, I usually just disregard it.

Help with RWM

Hi all, returning to this wonderful game after some time and I have a problem with RWM

I've added the Runewords folder from the download to my diabloii directory.
I created a new shortcut
I added
-direct -txt (as well as -windowed -nofixedaspect) to the Target slot
and C:\Games\Diablo II\Runewords
the game starts as the original diablo - without the expansion pack

now if I remove the \Runewords from the path,
DiabloII starts off in the LOD (windowed) configuration - everything is happy.
But I wont have all of the nifty runewords available.

So to sum up my problem -LOD works fine without the Runewords path, but I'm stuck with the orginal once I add it.
Any ideas?

I am sorry that I did not post this in the 108 page RWM help thread, but .... well I read a lot of it, but couldn't find an answer.

thank you,

Re: Help with RWM

You really should have posted this in the sticky. Though it is long it is still easier to help if everything is in one thread. I'll help in the meantime, but this post should be moved to the sticky.

I remember this happening when I tried to install the RWM on my last win7 laptop. I forget the details of how I fixed it, I'll check the threads to see if I find anything. Until then I have a few questions that might help us answer this. Which OS are you using, XP or win7/vista? Are you running the game as an admin? Have you tried running the game with just -direct -txt? Maybe a few screenshots of your folder structure and shortcut? Do you have an updated system and which patch do you have? The game might run better if you patch a latter patch, one that recognizes win7/vista better.
