Re: ATMA/GoMule/RWM etc - Help Thread
I'm having a strange issue with GoMule. Hopefully it's a known issue that has a "fix". I tried searching the forum, but didn't find my situation.
First, a little background so you all know what I'm working with. I play both at home on my main PC and on my netbook, both of which are running Win 7. When I'm on the road I copy my SAVE and ATMA files from my desktop to my netbook so I can play away from home. I run both ATMA and DII as ADMINISTRATOR (so that everything is stored in their appropriate PROGRAM FILES folders as opposed to the goofy GAMES folder Win 7 likes to use). I have no issues with either program this way, and have no issues when moving my SAVES from one computer to the other.
OK, with that out of the way, my issue with GoMule...
I'm trying to switch from using ATMA to GoMule, mainly because I find it faster and the reporting/moving/etc. all seem to run faster than ATMA. Also, I like the search tools in GoMule, which are non-existent in ATMA. Anyway, my problem is that when testing out GoMule, when I try to move something from one of my characters to my stash, after making sure I save all, when I close the stash and reopen it, whatever I moved there is gone.
If I move an item from a character to stash using ATMA, then save and open the stash in GoMule the item is there. If I move it using the GoMule, however, it doesn't seem to be saving it. The item DOES disappear from the character and DOES save the fact that it is no longer on the character (tested by loading the character in DII and seeing the item no longer in his inventory). With the stash though, it's like I'm moving the item to a black hole. I get no error when opening the stash, nor when clicking the SAVE ALL button with GoMule.
Let me also mention that I'm using the latest versions/patches to all applications, including DII (1.13d). Also, I have tried running GoMule from its folder on both my DESKTOP screen and at the root of my C: drive. And no, I'm not trying to run it from within the .zip/.7z file.
Any ideas, folks? I'd much rather use GoMule for what it does, but can't use it for what it's actually doing, know what I mean?
