Re: ATMA/GoMule/RWM etc - Help Thread

hi, i have a little problem, i cant view all items anymore (maybe too much items?), and i dont know what causes this.

Anybody experienced the same?

I've never had that problem, but then again I've never had that many items. How many items do you have in your stashes and characters combined? You might have too many items for GoMule to handle. Does GoMule give you any errors? If so can you list them completely and any symptoms that GoMule does when you double click the "All" button.

Re: ATMA/GoMule/RWM etc - Help Thread

gomule reacts normal after this, but doesnt load the window with all items(just "works" as my mouse has the clock), i can use everything fine^^

so, how i fix that cosmetic error?^^

I'm a little confused by your post. Are you saying that the All button only works when you mouse over the clock? Which OS are you using and have you tried updating your version of Java? If it is too many items you could try removing the stashes from the list, not delete them, and see if the All buttons work. You can load them back in after you check this.

Re: ATMA/GoMule/RWM etc - Help Thread

This may not be helpful but hopefully Ladvarian will come along.

So you can open up Gomule just fine and it's not until you try to open this character that you get the error?

Where is D2 installed? (directory )

Does the folder have administrative privileges? that's sometimes an issue.

Try making a new character in the game and see if gomule will open that one.

Re: ATMA/GoMule/RWM etc - Help Thread

Do check what kestegs suggested. Also where did you download GoMule from and did you extract the zip entirely into a folder and run GoMule from there? The character you are trying to open is 1.10+ and LoD not classic?

For the privileges part which OS are you using? XP or Win7/vista? If you have Win7/vista, try installing D2 outside the Program Files folder and see if that fixes the error. Install D2 into say C:\Games folder or into your My Documents folder.

Thanks kestegs for the compliment. Your post was helpful as it would help eliminate some of the possibilities that might be the cause.

Re: ATMA/GoMule/RWM etc - Help Thread

I'm guessing that it is a problem with locating some of the image files (background.jpg or background2.jpg) used on the character sheet. Make sure that there is a "resources" directory alongside the gomule.jar file and that it is filled with a bunch of .jpg files and such.

Fake edit: Just somewhat-confirmed that this is the problem by running the .jar file without supporting files present. It also issued a number of stack traces before showing the main window.

From the trade rules.

You can host Flavie reports on Freewebs. Upload the standard.css to get the pretty colours. Screenshots of runes may be hosted on Imageshack.

missed this with the last post but yes mine does the 'stacks' before the main window too

Re: ATMA/GoMule/RWM etc - Help Thread

By C drive where exactly on the C drive is everything located, D2 and GoMule? If you could provide the exact path to make sure where they are located.

The stacks could be because of where you have it installed or located. I'm going to leave those to Oscuro for the moment until I'm sure where you have everything located, see question above.

Re: ATMA/GoMule/RWM etc - Help Thread

It should only care about where the files are located in relation to each other. The specific location in the system should not matter.

Twibz, could you take a step back and say exactly how you are launching GoMule? You cannot run it by launching the .jar from within the zip file (this is deceptively easy to do if Windows Explorer handles zip files on your system); you have to extract the contents of the zip file first. If using Explorer to open it, look for an "Extract all files" button after opening it.

did the 'extract all' and placed in the D2 file in C drive and now its working like a dream :D thanks man, much love

Re: ATMA/GoMule/RWM etc - Help Thread

If you take a screenshot it should go to the runewords folder if done right.

But no worries if you mess it up, just save the runeword you tried to make and open it up in a game once you get it right and it will make the runeword, so there's no real risk.

Re: ATMA/GoMule/RWM etc - Help Thread

I found a jewel today and Gomule displays it like this:

Grim Whorl
Jewel
Required Level: 18
Fingerprint: 0xe6811e51
Item Level: 82
Version: Expansion 1.10+
Unidentified
Adds 4 - 2 Damage
+55 to Attack Rating
Adds 1 - 4 Cold Damage Over 2 Secs (50 Frames)

while ATMA displays it like this:

Grim Whorl
Jewel
Required Level: 18
Unidentified
Item Version: 1.10+ Expansion
Item Level: 82
Fingerprint: 0xe6811e51
+55 to Attack Rating
+4 to Minimum Damage
+2 to Maximum Damage
Adds 1-4 cold damage over 2 seconds

I'm sure I've seen Gomule use the +x to minimum and +x to maximum format before in the same jewel, so I'm just assuming that it is a display error.

Re: ATMA/GoMule/RWM etc - Help Thread

I'm converting to single player, and I cannot for the life of me get gomule or ATMA to install and run on my netbook. I'm running windows 7 and I can't get it to do anything. I download gomule, and try to start the jar file and it brings up a bunch of java jibberish...

If I try atma, I can't extract the zip file for some reason.

Can someone with more talent than my limited computer skills help me with either of these programs?
