Witch Hunt: The NCIS Haloween Forum Mafia Thread

Re: Witch Hunt: The NCIS Haloween Forum Mafia Thread

YOU were annoyed?!?!? Not only did I have to be garbled and quote in Al Bhed I got to be IGNORED!!!! because....well, because I had nothing relevant to say I guess.

On another note; I see Bad Ash voted for Drixx, and Sathoris was savagely poking Drixx earlier in the day one happy fun times. Sooooooo I'm wondering if those could be the tactics the bad guys could be using to fuel our day two tirades/pissing matches.

Any opinions???

Re: Witch Hunt: The NCIS Haloween Forum Mafia Thread

That story about Ziva and Tony. What if the death wasn't the main focus in the story. What if it was picked to focus on a... umm what's the word I'm trying to use here, friendly-competition? And the death of Bad Ash was made to fit around that?

Re: Witch Hunt: The NCIS Haloween Forum Mafia Thread

Any chance BA was James Korby... and do we look into that story-line?
Or is Gorny just throwing in a death scene from NCIS and since there was no role reveal I'm barking up the wrong tree?

I'm not quite clear on your idea, are you trying to say the whole Bad Ash death and Sathoris knocked unconscious was staged?

:whistling: :ziplip:

Ok, well since you aren't changing what was wrote for him and not saying it was a typo, It sounds like Sathoris is indeed able to post, which is a good thing. I'm not sure how I feel with so many post restrictions going on. The point of mafia is to encourage people to talk.

Sathoris, how are you feeling this morning? Any clue as to what happened?

Re: Witch Hunt: The NCIS Haloween Forum Mafia Thread

Thought that might bring you out of hiding...

Still an odd target. He wasn't much of a contributer IMHO. No role reveal?

My guess is the night targets were specific to draw suspicion to me. I can assure everyone that I would never be so foolish, if I were the night plotting type. Transparent ploy is transparent.

The question, in my mind, is whether I was just viewed as a target of opportunity due to the large number of posts involving me, or if I maybe fingered someone looking to get revenge.

I would think Zemaj would make an easier target of opportunity, but he did manage to stay mostly below the fray.

Not sure if anything useful can be gleaned on the assumption the night's activities were orchestrated as a frame job on me.

Oh, and because I forgot and editing is disallowed:

vote: zemaj

I for one would like to see mr. Zemaj explain himself a bit better.

Re: Witch Hunt: The NCIS Haloween Forum Mafia Thread

It's so convenient that "the mafia" would frame you, just to clear you right? It's not like you could target the people who fingered you yesterday and use it as an excuse to "clear" yourself immediately after so many people wanted to lynch you. If the "ploy" is so transparent as you claim, you would think the mafia would know better! Sounds to me like you are just trying to shift discussion off of someone else by faking a frame job.

Why are you no longer post restricted?

Obviously both sides can be argued, but having played this game many times, I would like to point out that it's a much safer defense to be able to say "If I were anti-town, why would I let my most vocal attackers stay alive?" instead of "Hrm, the people I was speaking against and who spoke against me were attacked, but I swear I had nothing to do with it!"

Just think through both sides of it, and I trust that if you have the town's best interest in mind, you will arrive at a conclusion favorable to me.

Hrm... code box didn't treat that well. Let's try this:

Seconded, was it part of your role, or did it just happen? Is it gone for good, or a temporary thing?

Wow, this is just confusing to me. Seems like some really convoluted logic. Basically you are saying that because you took the second option you are more likely to be town? But if you have so much experience, wouldn't you avoid saying the first one even if you were mafia?

I do agree with one thing you said, zemaj seems to have dropped off the radar. Could you let me know who you find suspicious? Who do you thing is pro-town? Why would Bad Ash and Sath end up listed today as being killed and recovered?

Re: Witch Hunt: The NCIS Haloween Forum Mafia Thread

So Sathoris has ended up being listed as wounded but is able to talk, did he get hit with a different ability than Caluin, roleblock possibly or is there some other mechanic to the wounded?

Yes they could have been chosen to direct our attention, though for that to be true it would have to be one mafia team. Is that what you're thinking?

No. Frankly boogy I was just brainstorming. The Sathoris/Drixx thing was obvious from Day one. I just noticed the Bad Ash vote from looking at the first page info.

I am also QUITE interested in what zemaj has to say. After several callings out he never returned. He promised to return and explain himself, but instead laid low. Seems suspicious and quite scummy to me. I think he realized he had exposed himself and needed to hide out. So he did.

I dunno. I have no idea why I was restricted in the first place, but I'll tell you for sure I like this much better!!!

This is to both Drixx and zemaj

It's classic WIFOM. he's purposefully trying to convolute things, and that to me is a HUGE scum tell. Also, he is is trying to throw his scum partner zemaj under the bus, because he knows he can score free townie points.

I really can't say what I would do differently if I had a different role in the game. I try to take each game as it comes and not fall into any patterns. Patterns are how you get quickly busted when you get lucky and land in an anti-town role.

No. Frankly boogy I was just brainstorming. The Sathoris/Drixx thing was obvious from Day one. I just noticed the Bad Ash vote from looking at the first page info.

So do we!

As far as who I find suspicious ... corax, coju, sarth (and in fact him being "injured" could be a way to throw us off the scent) and zemaj.

I haven't gotten a pro-town vibe off anyone yet, mostly because it's really too early to tell either way. I will say that as we progress, people who are obviously just barely meeting the post requirement will more and more set off warning bells to me. There are only two things we can use to play the game with ... what people post and how they vote.

Anyone who is barely posting and not voting is trying to avoid giving us anything to work with or inactive. Given how much fun these games can be, after a pattern emerges I tend to assume anti-town first and inactive last.
