Re: Ravenwood Retreat Mafia Game.
Wow.
Bad Ash (and everyone else).
No one is accusing anyone of lying. The most I (or anyone else for that matter) can accuse anyone of doing is playing the game.
Bad Ash, you have been playing the absent cousin most of the game with only your one-trick lynch Ankeli to show for it. You attempted (in my view) to bandwagon a lynch on TC Day1, did not vote on Day 2 when it looked like the lynch-train on TC was going to work, but then stopped short, you voted Marahumm Day 3, Noodle Day 4, and now you are trying to force a lynch on Ankeli. My guess, with voting patterns and questionable scum-hunting - you are almost as certainly scum as Techno is. I do not buy your claim or your theories or your appeals to emotion. Sorry. Please don't take this personally, I think you are play-acting, but in case you are genuinely upset, I don't mean this as an attack on you.
Some of the claims that the mafia is terrifically over-powered I find to be irrelevant at this point. If it is over-powered, we lost at the end of Day 3 and naught matters. I am prepared to believe a number of things and try to plan for them, but I am not planning for a crazy over-powered mafia who will win if we lynch a fairly certain mafia target today. Sorry for that, too.
People are concentrating so hard on the special abilities of players that they are missing scum-tells. The problem with special abilities is you do not know for certain the motivation behind the person using them. For instance, Noodle was a Cop, good for the Town. But he was a Mafia Cop, so it was bad for the Town. But he was also a Mafia Traitor, which should mean that he knew who the Mafia team is, but they did not know who he was - which was good for the Town. Point is, I am taking as little for granted as I possibly can whilst still being able to function. I have folks I trust completely, folks I trust because I have to trust someone, folks I am playing along with whilst I think they are playing a Town ticket and folks I do not trust at all.
I have yet to see someone who has suggested a possible structure of the game that matches what we have see, so I do not completely trust the "info" we are getting in this game. Either the observer is being interfered with or the observer is lying. So I am back to good old fashioned scum-hunting.
tl,dr: We are not out of the woods yet, nor are we dead in the water.
Remind me to post a suggested list of lynch targets, in order, with my reasons for it, later today. Have to go to work now.
