Perhaps you should look into shoes that don't go all the way up to your throat. Mine tend to end around the ankle, for example, which eliminates a great deal of weight.

Heh, the throat line (see pic) is the part of the shoe that covers the instep of the foot.

if you're an American size 12 or 13, it's difficult but not too bad. i know a couple of guys who have a size 15.

I've never been to North America nor plan to visit it (specially after I heard about the mandatory airport security raping) so I don't know how easy or not the acquisition of footwear is. Does the video has anything to do with shoes? I can't see it here because youtube hates me, and I don't remember much of the clip besides people dancing in a mansion.

I live in the Netherlands - land of giants for me haha, I often have to go to the childrens section for shoes, not so fun D:

Nah, people are getting smaller here too. It's why I can't find normal clothes any longer - I now have to look into all those extra large collections. I'm not slim but I'm not THAT huge. Everything seems to be designed for children here....
Shoes I'm fine with, I'm a size 6 these days which isn't bad for someone with my length.

At primary school was the tallest girl of the class for a long time, taller than most of the boys too. I can assure you that was equally annoying.

Edit: Speaking of warmer weather, first day of the year with shorts on! It was niiiice. Although cold in the morning. Was like 4C outside. >_< But it was a decent 10C or so by 11AM. If I could get out of the windchill and stay in the sun it was almost like summer. ^_^
