Zombie invasion Mafia game.

Re: Zombie invasion Mafia game.

We're nowhere near a lynch today. Leo is the only person with more than one vote, with both Zhao and Bad Ash voting for her for what appear to be pretty flimsy reason to me. I believe Bad Ash to be town, but I always find it hard to get a read on Zhao.

Re: Zombie invasion Mafia game.

Hi ITY, you said Sath and Fey were your suspects on Day 3. Sath was taken out of the equation so again, why aren't you following up on Fey today? I asked you this earlier and you said some fluff answer that you wanted to be considerate and give him a chance to post. Well, he's posted already yesterday and again today, yet you've made no effort in your part to follow through.

That's why I'm suspicious of you ITY, you're inconsistent, non-committal and are staying in the background a lot. That's not typical ITY play.

I beg to differ that is very much how I play.

I thought you found me suspisious because of the Val lynch why the change of tact?

What the heck are you talking about?

Feysal, you're a mafiascum.net expert, what type of logical fallacy is this? It's not 'appeal to emotion', it's something else but I can't remember it.

14 alive? yes.

1 night kill- pro town, 1 mod kill - pro town, possible misslych (if we listen to you...) - pro town

11 left, lets assume 5 mafia, a quick lynch train tomorrow then job done.

Re: Zombie invasion Mafia game.

And ironically if he's town and not near a lynch at the end of the day he's better off not posting and getting modkilled. Better to have a townie modkilled (not even sure he is townie for that matter) than lynched, because we don't lose any moral with a modkill.

If anything it's better than a lynch. No drop in morale. And with the zombie attacks to stop all we need to worry about are mislynches. Which tomorrow we only have a 1/6 chance of accomplishing. Food's stocked for another day aswell. And with a mafia lynch tomorrow morale raises enough to last the game.

Re: Zombie invasion Mafia game.

Trouble is we won't find that out till the end of the day.

Unless we choose to not lynch anyone and Laarz stays quiet. God knows we've already been screwed over by modkills before. Let this one work in our advantage.

Should Laarz posts anyway if we've reached this concencus. Then we've found a mafia and we need to form a new plan overnight. Still better than lynching a townie and losing a townie due to a modkill.

Re: Zombie invasion Mafia game.

Oh well, I'm sure you will come out and say it's an OMGUS vote - then that's exactly what you have done to Leo.

Zhao's play is very far away from pro-town, he seems to want to spread uncertainty and distrust.

So:-

Vote: Zhao_Yue

Re: Zombie invasion Mafia game.

At this point I'm kinda wondering if TC shouldn't just modkill me ... as Feysal says, it's true that I haven't been contributing enough to the discussion after all, so I would have deserve it if it happened ...

However, at this point each vote matters I guess ... I've claimed not to be part of the mafia, and I'm sticking with that claim*. Can't leave you all hanging at this point so I better keep myself from getting modkilled. :whistling:

*: Not that my claim has any value to anyone else ... I've done nothing to prove it's validity after all.

Re: Zombie invasion Mafia game.

Sorry I haven't been here but family matters come first. I've just glanced at the last page here, so you dont want me to say anything? or should we work for a lynch? I'm going to try to catch up as fast as I can.

Trouble is as the numbers get close mafia/town if any townies don't join in the voting ,then the mafia gain the decisive vote.

Exactly, during the Val lynch you stayed under the radar and didn't commit yourself. Thank you for pointing that out.

Huh? You said to Feysal that he just lost us the game, not lost the game if a bunch of what-ifs happen.

And now Sath is suggesting that we let Laarz get modkilled for the benefit of the town, are you on his case for that?

I thought the morale dropped 15 when Thy, Ank and Trinoth were modded?

Don't worry, I was expecting it. Does that mean all that talk yesterday of you wanting to lynch Fey is over now? Or just on the backburner?

Re: Zombie invasion Mafia game.

So you read through the interchange and found nothing suspicious of her behaviour? In your opinion, what lead to believe she's more town aligned?

That read was based on her general posting style, and little else. I had not in fact considered the exchange yet.

Part of your case on Leo is that she was supposedly mudslinging when she pointed out that she was positive mafia had decided to night kill based on the player suspecting them. Well... I'm pretty sure that has happened, but I don't think it is important. More often than not, trying to guess why a given player was night killed and trying to draw conclusions from it is a waste of time. I don't think Leo's comment is all that suspicious, nor do I think that Technomancer's death would conclusively point to you.

Other than that, the part about Leo not lapsing into self-pity, coasting and all that does look a bit weird. It's not that it would not be true, but why point it out? It almost looks like an attempt to preemptively avoid any such accusations, and if there was no truth to such accusations anyway, why care about it?

He's been called a confirmed townie by Noammr. Thoughts?

I searched for the post where Noammr said so and found it, but I could not find a post where he'd give reason for it. Was ITY the one who confirmed Sathoris's claim that he could defend the town for 1 point worth? I guess that would make ITY more likely town, however I think it's far less certain than Sathoris. Sathoris after all gave information that was confirmed by Bad Ash. ITY could be mafia who decided to fake claim that he can also defend, and he'd need no information to do so.

As an aside, do you think the new roles were distributed evenly?

You mean are there equal numbers of soldiers, scavengers and such? I think not. Probably more soldiers than of the other roles, and fewer scientists than others. That would make sense based on the flash game and the usefulness of the roles. Also, if there were not many soldiers, defending the town would've become impossible real quick, even if we hadn't accidentally lynched the first town soldier and had another modkilled.

PS. Loading pages is taking forever for me. It's not just the ads either... what the hell has facebook to do with anything on our forums, and why can't the page be displayed without accessing it? Boggles the mind.

Have you been busy with your family since the game began?

Just checked - you haven't placed a single vote for the whole game.

Figured that would be the case, was what I was thinking of when I wrote "at this point each vote matters I guess". :cloud9:

I guess he means I should've kept quiet about Laarz so we would not have another modkill. And I can't remember if this fallacy has any sort of fancy name on mafiascum.net, after all people are not modkilled there for inactivity, but replaced.

Laarz may have been busy over the weekend and it's certainly possible that he's being truthful about it. After all, it is/was Easter Weekend, and many people did/do spend time with family.

As to Noodle I can't say the same...

He may have returned to the local forest thicket for the weekend to spend time with his siblings wild land.

She also posted the fact that she had little to no beef with Asrrin and Techno and when I asked her why she posted that, she flipped out. That's another example of her trying to paint herself innocent.

Sath claimed, Ivan said that 'his role sounded the same' and Bad Ash claimed today to back up Sath up. I was thinking I'm missing something so I asked ITY directly, but he refused to answer.

Stayed under the radar? I spent the entire time trying to talk people out of lynching a townie. We are still talking about it 3 days later.

Not what if's -quite likely to happen. I hope you and your mafia bedfellows will feel proud - victory by mod-kill.

I kinda started trusting him a bit more when you started on him. You appear to have a town defeat as your objective, so anyone against you I guess is probably town.
