Re: Zombie invasion Mafia game.
This has a kind of familiar ring, and is usually mentioned by Mafia members. Too busy in RL - shouldn't of joined, then on lynch they show the Godfather or something...
Maybe it is an easy excuse for mafia to make, but I would not lie about real life matters in game, I value my integrity more than that. In case it matters to you, I was recently mislynched on mafiascum.net, after not posting for several days.
No Ankeli discouraged the other civilian to come forward.
I had to dig up that part, and it was in fact Sathoris who suggested that the other townie reveal himself, if he is vanilla. Ankeli agreed with that, with that same condition of the claimant being vanilla. Considering that being vanilla is considerably more likely than being some sort of power role that would show as civilian, I count that as encouraging.
Not that it matters much, we're going to find out who and what Ankeli was soon enough.
Krazey is a possibility, but would a mafia member make a school boy error of constantly saying he is stranded. Once someone had called him on it would he not of stopped?
I couldn't say. But now that you mentioned this, I have to wonder why a mafia member would want to call attention to himself and ask to be scouted. As far as we knew, being scouted and not showing up on the town roster should've been something the scum wanted to avoid. Now that three people were scouted at once... not so much any more.
Who knows, perhaps the mafia can have powers that they can only use if invited into the town? I feel that would make sense.
Feysal, are you saying you don't like your nicknames Zhao and i gave you? meow.
Not saying that, just that they have no effect on my behavior. The nicknames can be quite amusing at times.
Come again? I didn't quite understand this. Maybe my brain is still waking up or I need an example. >.>
It is called the Amished tell, named after the player who coined it. Supposedly, when a player is replaced for whatever reason, if the replacement player apologizes for whatever his predecessors may have done or said, he is scum.
This tell is supposedly 90% accurate, based on Amished and other players using it extensively. However, I encountered it in one of those cases where it failed. The mislynched player it was used on was:
1. Inexperienced new player in her first large game
2. Replaced into a slot that was the top wagon, meaning her predecessor had done something obviously bad to apologize for
3. Female
Now, the Amished tell supposedly is less reliable when used on female players, because for women apologizing can have a different meaning than for men. Specifically, women can apologize as a way of appeasement.
Oh, and I'm just repeating what I heard from the mislynched player herself, so don't start calling me sexist for saying this.
