The "Press Your Luck" Gameshow Mafia Game!

Re: The "Press Your Luck" Gameshow Mafia Game!

Which is the same question I indirectly posed to you Zhao.

How do you know that whomever he targeted could be a 'confirmed' townie?

My answer is, I don't. What is yours?

Re: The "Press Your Luck" Gameshow Mafia Game!

What is the difference between the Joker (the Mafia)-Dragomir, and the Joker aka Tim Drake (anti-town)-Trionth?

Are there two factions of 1)Mafia and 2)anti-town?

*Munches on popcorn*

My interpertation of Gorny eating popcorn after flub's question is that there is indeed multiple 'anti-town' factions.

Re: The "Press Your Luck" Gameshow Mafia Game!

the ho-ho-ho I have a machine gun is from the movie Die Hard. That means someone is John McClane and able to kill most likely for the town

I'm guessing a vigilante.

It sucks that Noodle made his role claim without telling us whom he saved on the first night. An opportunity to confirm a townie was lost.

How would it have confirmed a townie? You're making as little sense with this as Noodle did with his opening post on day 1. I think you're sore because John McClane ho-ho-ho'd your team up last night.

Don't take the eating of popcorn to mean anything...usually the host does it at random..TC does it too.

Re: The "Press Your Luck" Gameshow Mafia Game!

When it rains it pours. We go two days with relatively little actions or info, then between the last few hours of yesterday and last night, we get bombarded. Gotta take things one at a time I suppose.

ITY's claim was .... interesting. I'm not surprised to hear of a cult ever since Gorny emphasized that money totals will determine the winner. I was betting on either a cult or some neutral mason group. Not sure why Rodney McKay ends up being anti-town. I guess we'll have to wait for the EOG write-up. His questions yesterday indicate his N2 recruitment was in fact blocked or otherwise stymied.

LOL at the Rug Doctor role and Noodle getting it. It's sad to see Noodle was pro-town, and a doc no less. I wonder if Noodle knew about the chance to kill part. I'm guessing no, since he targeted himself.

The N1 events seem more confusing than ever. It seems Noodle was right about the pro-town NK role, the cult, and the doc. It would be nice to know his N1 target as there is a chance he did save a townie. Other roles, such as a busdriver, could have caused the same result, but information is valuable.

It's interesting that Gorny used the term "NK or hostile night action." We know of a cult, and recruitment certainly seems like a hostile action. I wonder if Noodle could have prevented a recruitment. I also wonder what other hostile night actions there may be that aren't night kills.

I had to Google Tim "The Joker" Drake. Wikipedia says he was one of the Robins, which seems odd for an anti-town role. However, wiki did have this excerpt:
Code:
"The new Batman Terry McGinnis confronted the resurrected Joker,
revealed to be the 52 year-old Tim Drake transformed through a microchip
containing the Joker's memories, personality, and DNA."

That makes two "pro-town sounding" roles that appear as anti-town. I'm not sure if we can trust someone to be pro-town simply on their role name anymore.

I don't know whether to laugh or cry at the double voter President Obama role. If Uraj used a double vote, I can't find evidence of it. Laarz is listed twice for his prize abiilty while Uraj is listed once. I count 11 votes total and it says 11 votes as well. It's possible that vote updates throughout the day showed evidence of the double vote, but I didn't check that closely.

I'm not familiar with the Nate reference.

The mafia vs anti-town listing is interesting. Anti-town could mean a number of things such as SK, cult, or second mafia faction. I'm not sure why one would be called mafia while the other anti-town. I'm leaning less on the second mafia faction and more on another explanation because of the naming differences. I also notice that ITY's role isn't listed as anti-town even though he claimed to be so.

Re: The "Press Your Luck" Gameshow Mafia Game!

Why was the message written on Trionth in lipstick followed with a "Ho Ho Ho?" Could it be a Mrs. Santa Claus?

Can we assume because it says anti-town they are Mafia?

Could they be a serial killer faction?

And what is today's restriction?

Silly me, I could have at least answered. The "Ho Ho Ho" message is also from Die Hard. There are other anti-town besides mafia, serial Killers being the most common. A serial killer faction sounds like mafia to me.

Re: The "Press Your Luck" Gameshow Mafia Game!

Korial, still smurfing? (OH, CHRIST, I ALMOST RE-BIT MY TONGUE!! gotta quit getting to overzealous with my food, man... or slow down in chewing! YIKES!)

Yes I have to smurf like a smurf.

And it's smurfing smurfing!

I smurf post smurfs. I smurfing smurf it.

Can someone smurf me? Or maybe I should have smurfed when Noodle was smurf, since he was the smurf.

Re: The "Press Your Luck" Gameshow Mafia Game!

hi all, sry for my absence, mother in law got to a hospital sunday, and opereated monday so i've been dragged along to visit her...

the machine-gun + ho-ho-ho is from Die Hard 1, and its during a xmas period, hence the ho-ho-ho.. giving town a vig, he could be recruited, hence the anti-town?

the other part about who killed Nate, is, as stated, from The Negotiator(spelling?), Danny Roman, the answer btw, is "you" so Danny Roman is the "killer of Nate", would seem to me some limited **** Vig is around ?

i cannot find Uraj using his double vote, could have been one-time or limited use as well.

regarding the lynching, isnt that half the people alive, rounded up, + 1 ? giving Gorny right...

i could easily assume in a game this size, that theres some 4-5 mafia, 1 recruiting mason, 1 or 2 neutral vig's, o lot of townies and some powers both good and twisted protown powers, maybe even some lovers amongst the townies ?, i could laugh at a vengefull or sumthin like that :P

Gory - u are right about the townies may not be as townie as they seem, it does strike me as odd as well, and some heavy research has been done, i like batman story but didnt even know that part hehe... a nice touch though, but it'l give us a hard time, if we cant trust pm's hehe

Flub - i get a feeling you are trying to blend in as town, only giving some input to the town and not really going after any real fact, people or statements, i know your restrictions isnt the best for that part, but you dont seem too forthcomming....

Korial - i seriously don't hope your scum, cause i've given up understanding you

Zhao - are you thinking that 2 fractions of anti town is impossible ?

Vote: flubbucket

Re: The "Press Your Luck" Gameshow Mafia Game!

if he's asking for Noodle to have fixed him, doesnt that imply he needs a doctor night action to be "cured" ?

or you looking for a "legal" target tonite ?

Re: The "Press Your Luck" Gameshow Mafia Game!

Do you need to be lynched to have your restriction lifted?

No.

Korial - i seriously don't hope your scum, cause i've given up understanding you

I'm not.

I don't smurf if someone can smurf me. I'm smurfing that someone can.

Re: The "Press Your Luck" Gameshow Mafia Game!

Ugh, shame about Noodle...

Flub's restriction seems legit to me and as well as in line with Gorny's style of hosting, I see no reason going after him at this point.

Short on time, will hopefully find some in later parts of the day.

Re: The "Press Your Luck" Gameshow Mafia Game!

Flubb certainly reacted hostile to me and I don't think he's pro-town. Although I don't think the mafia would get a restricted role. He's probably neutral. It would explain why he tried to attack me and turn me into a bad guy.

Neutral's are on their own and need to make as much money as they can by the end of the game. Getting pro-town players lynched would help them. I don't think Flubb can kill so I'm just gonna let him be.

So far we know that there are 2 anti-town factions, a Joker mafia team (Dragomir + Trinoth + ?) and a cult team (ITY). What was being discussed was whether there were 2 mafia teams, to account for Nolecub’s theory that Noodle might have saved a mafia on the first night.
