Not sure what you guys are doing, I don't think the Ivan lynch is required today.

Mara is the person that should be phasered today, he called out someone for role-fishing when he partook in the deed himself beforehand. I actually agree with you Ankeli, I feel a Mara-Asrrin-Bad Ash coop vibe.

You guys can try to lynch me, but unfortunately it's going to be a waste of time.

So you're claiming an unlynchable role? Guess what, I'm not killable by night, instead I kill the person that attacks me (I'm still safe to protect / investigate / whatever). There we go, a boatload of role claims on day 1.

I'm actually hesitant about lynching you and would prefer Marahumm or Asrrin, but if the others don't feel the same way you'll have to do.

Re: In A Mirror Darkly - Star Trek Mafia Forum Game Thread

How did you assume that, and not think I mean that my lynch wouldn't be helpful in generating information on other players?

I'm disappointed in you Ankeli, I thought you evolved. You went with the old tired excuse of lynching me because dangerous if I'm anti-town, instead of going with something more believable like my overly aggressiveness. Seems your a bandwagon jumper, going for only what suits you best.

I prefer a lynch over a no lynch which may be the result of me switching my vote away from you. I hate the fact that people are actually considering lynching Ivan to "save" him, as that lynch option provides no information at all. The best choices would be you, me or Marahumm, and I'd love to vote for Marahumm but won't risk a no lynch as I said.

And how did I assume that? It's the wording you used, or then it's just me not being a native English speaker and reading it the wrong way:

You guys can try to lynch me, but unfortunately it's going to be a waste of time.

Could you layout the possible information gained in your, my and Mara's lynch, depending on alignment reveal.

The way we've reacted with people. I have been quick to the button as usual, and have accused at least 4 persons of being mafia, said I'm very wary and unease about how 2 of the ladies treat Ivan, and have announced my dislike of an Ivan lynch. There would be a lot of information there, some of it might be false too depending on fex. Ivan's alignment.

The same goes for you, but for Marahumm it's different. It's not what would be revealed about others but the way he himself is. He hass treaded very lightly and hasn't even addressed everyone that's tried to get something out of him. He's also been subtly fishing for roles. It's like I said earlier, it's as if he's being wary of not stepping on anyone's toes. In past games he's revolted a lot more strongly towards me when I've accused him, this time it was more of a "uhhh no, move along" instead of "NO U!".

The same goes for Asrrin to some degree, making him no. 2 on my list, you being no. 3 for mostly just being you, and Ash is balancing between being another mafia member or (one of) the VI(s).

Having just typed up the previous paragraph and reading it over I convinced myself. If he turns up pro-town I'm all out after you tomorrow, and if you believe what I said about my role, there's not a damn thing you can do about it overnight. ;)

And despite of spelling 'has' with 2 s', I'm not a snake. :(

Re: In A Mirror Darkly - Star Trek Mafia Forum Game Thread

Yowzers, I didn't expect that. I expected a refusal or reversal, but you laid it down well. A rational thinking Ankeli? ... this is a mirror universe.

Re: In A Mirror Darkly - Star Trek Mafia Forum Game Thread

Ankeli I still don't understand why you are so fixated on me. obviously you are the only one here. I laid out my suspicions of why zhao should be the lynch. Marahumm isn't doing much better, but I've seen him try to help out with the whole Krazey thing far more then I've seen zhao. Why isn't zhao trying to help us townies move forward? all he is doing is targeting a few specific people with no real facts, and taking the heat off himself in the process. you aren't doing any better I'm afraid. If it wasn't for your insistnace that zhao and Bad Ash are up to no good I'd label you scum just for your off the wall posting. I would push harder on Zhao then I currently am, but his posts are so few and far in between it's hard to come up with any new reasons to lynch him, and besides, the ones I've already claimed are more then enough.

Re: In A Mirror Darkly - Star Trek Mafia Forum Game Thread

If you need to push me because I don't have enough posts, then do so! Your half effort is disappointed.

Re: In A Mirror Darkly - Star Trek Mafia Forum Game Thread

One is away for a day and has to spend 4 hours to catch up to you guys, christ.
So, anyway. Im inclined to believe that lynching Ivan will fix him, but still have some doubts. Whales role claim is indeed quite fishy, even tho whales are mammals
**** you whale and dolphin (For all south park fans, no offense intended to anyone).

I'm not the only one fixated on you, Zhao has his doubts as well. The fact that I happen to suspect him as well doesn't change that.

As far as voting for Marahumm over Zhao goes, you should simply on his altered playstyle which is one of the most obvious tells someone is hiding something.

Unless of course I'm correct and you're in league and you'd only cast your vote on him in case more people did so not to appear suspicious. His "helping out" with translating what Ivan says is kind of irrelevant, to be honest Ivan is completely irrelevant at the moment. We should just mostly ignore him as he's spouting blabbertalk no one can understand and isn't getting us any closer to lynching the anti-towns.

Re: In A Mirror Darkly - Star Trek Mafia Forum Game Thread

Ankeli, why are you against the crowd and not believe lynching Ivan will somehow fix him?

I believe Ivan is either a) a VI or b) has to find someone himself overnight who can fix him. I'm leaning towards a). The explanation that he'd have to get himself lynched sounds way too far fetched even for Gorny.

I'd just ignore him.

Re: In A Mirror Darkly - Star Trek Mafia Forum Game Thread

Why are some players interpreting from his posts that Ivan wants to get himself lynched?

Apparently because he's setting course to 000.000 whenever someone brings it up. Just let him be, he's obviously not pro-town.

Re: In A Mirror Darkly - Star Trek Mafia Forum Game Thread

Mara is the person that should be phasered today, he called out someone for role-fishing when he partook in the deed himself beforehand.

My posting was just explaining what role I thought someone to be. That's a tad different from blatantly calling out for a specific role to show themselves ;).

The same goes for you,

Here Ankeli explains why himself and Zhao would be better lynches than I: getting an idea on other people's roles.

but for Marahumm it's different.

I still don't understand how my playstyle is any different from previous games. You both have been using this line of reasoning yet have not shown any solid evidence towards your case.

To add to this, Ankeli decides that, even though my lynch would only provide information about me, and lynching either of them would provide info about others, he thinks that somehow I'm the better lynch target? There's an interesting thought, "Lynching Marahumm will provide less information! Let's kill him!"

Ankeli, your eagerness to not question anything zhao has stated, including the hair-brained idea that I'm role-fishing myself, pins the two of you together. Add to the fact that once others started voting for zhao you quickly turned tail and fled from your bluff and there's no question for me anymore. You were better off when you weren't following your leader, but now I'm convinced you two are aligned.

Vote: Zhao_Yue

Lynching either of you at this point won't matter since the results will be the same, but given that there's already some votes on Zhao, I'll vote for him as well.
