Re: In A Mirror Darkly - Star Trek Mafia Forum Game Thread

Spam v.3.0

Add Marahumm to the list. He's "about to vote Ivan due to frustration".

Good plan, champ, vote out one of the 3 people that are as close to a confirmed townie at this point as anyone can be. Sure, there's no telling that Gorny hasn't put a posting restriction on an anti-town character, but the odds are against that.

So there's my fantastic four, who do you gais and grrrls want to pick out? Zhao, my brother, my brethren, who's your allstar of the day? It can't seriously be Ivan.

You're fine with adding me to the list, but don't find that Zhao's vote for krazey at least as suspicious as my putting pressure on him? Interesting.

Hmm interesting.... no nk... Perhaps role switch, role block or doc save?

* scans self hmm found an abnormality in the core matrix of my left index finger*

Im gunning for Marahumm at the moment, hes the only thats seemed fishy to me with his "KI communicate with us before I vote you out of frustration"

With KI perhaps hes pointing to particular posts? and whoever is in that post is either who he suspects or perhaps its whats in that posts contents?

Me putting pressure on Krazey has given him a post-pattern that we can begin to work with. Thanks to that, as far as I can tell, I believe he's at least trying to work with us as best he can.

I'm concerned about both your posting style and your lack of posting. Don't scan yourself in public if you can't help it; you're just giving ideas to the mafia.

Re: In A Mirror Darkly - Star Trek Mafia Forum Game Thread

Its better to be silent and thought a fool, than to speak and confirm it ;)

Your grandpa obviously never played forum mafia ;). Your silence, added with the few posts to not get you mod-killed from Gorny, has you and zarniwoop at the top of my suspicion list.

I know that isn't Zhao's final vote.

You've managed nothing useful, none of us can still understand him.

I post as I always do. Maybe you think it's time to call on the traditional day 1 lynch Ankeli train to save you from suspicion? It's always a nice move!

Why don't you vote for Zarniwoop then with me? He's obviously not contributing anything useful, and has thus far only posted once on each day. He's useless to the town even if he's pro-town.

Oh? How's that?

You've managed nothing useful, none of us can still understand him.

We can at least begin to work with it. What we know is that he can post up to 3 consecutive posts. At the very least we can have him use 2 posts in a row for "No" and 3 posts for "Yes"

I post as I always do. Maybe you think it's time to call on the traditional day 1 lynch Ankeli train to save you from suspicion? It's always a nice move!

I was referring to Spudnik's posts.

Trust me if his play style doesn't change I will, but you should know by now I'm a little more stingy with my votes than the average player.

Oh, he made 4 consecutive posts. So I doubt there's a limit to how many times he can post in a row.

Re: In A Mirror Darkly - Star Trek Mafia Forum Game Thread

It's at least something.

Krazey, if you need to be fixed by a specific role, please post 3 times in a row, if not, post 2 times in a row.

Who said we were sworn enemies? Ankeli may be jealous of my gaming genius but we understand that our rivalry is a civil one.

How about this, the 4th post after mine, whomever the poster is, I'm going to push their lynch tomorrow. Let's injects some jiggy into this game.

I think you just won the Zhao sweepstakes! Your prize: 1 guarenteed lynch of you tomorrow.

Alright, let's get some lynching done.

It’s often referred to as a random vote, used to gather information from reactions and comment of players. I’m surprised you missed such a detail Mara, you who pride yourself on being on top of all pertinent information. Kind of reminds me of you behaviour 2 games ago when you were anti-town and was ‘forgetful’ on information relevant to Spudnik.

Re: In A Mirror Darkly - Star Trek Mafia Forum Game Thread

Hmmm, not very useful replies from Ivan, first posting a single post and then following up with 4...might be his restriction fully disallows communication with the rest of us?
Interesting idea Spudnik suggested about his directing us to posts with the numbers...will check the numbered posts.

Ankeli, nice to see you posting (I was starting to get worried ;) ). Gotta say on your Zarniwoop vote that inactivity lynches early in the game usually end up being townies...then again, I'd hate to wound up with multiple low-activity players late in the game, there's nothing that suites the mafia better.
Why do you rule out the idea of Bad Ash being the VI? His earlier vote + reactions along with his treestump claim could be aimed at getting himself lynched.

I think Bad Ash would know better than to pretend-claim treestump to get himself lynched. It didn't work last game afterall. I do have to admit however that I think his playstyle is pretty different than other games I've seen him play.

Emphasis on pertinent, zhao. Your vote is unimportant specifically because of your claim to push for the fourth poster's lynch, whoever they may be. If you must know my questioning of Ankeli "knowing" your vote isn't final gave me a slight suspicion that you two might be aligned, so I decided to ask about it. I found his response valid enough not to push it any further for now.

Re: In A Mirror Darkly - Star Trek Mafia Forum Game Thread

Your grandpa obviously never played forum mafia ;). Your silence, added with the few posts to not get you mod-killed from Gorny, has you and zarniwoop at the top of my suspicion list.

That,s true,my grandfather never even knew what a computer was. So my posting puts me to the top of your list, but spud, outside the whale,Thyiad and hey don't make your list, very interesting, are they your fellow scum?
Off to work ,won't be back until this evening.

I don't find Spud as suspicious because I believe him to be Data, a cyborg from The Next Generation.

Outside, Thyiad and Hey do not make my list because at the rate they're going they will be mod-killed for being inactive.

Re: In A Mirror Darkly - Star Trek Mafia Forum Game Thread

My silence has been mostly my head-scratching at the mystifying posts of the two people repeating new codes over and over. Obviously, I feel bound to try to solve them. I don't see many posts actually moving anything forward, so I am hesitant to opine without hard facts or new information.

I'm not sure what I'm under suspicion of, but just like any good episode, I will try to figure out some part of what happened before I end up like the unnamed guy that beams down with Spock, Kirk, and Bones.

I'm guilty as charged of low post count however. This is my first game and it's pretty bizarre if you've never played. Getting my feet wet and catching on as I can. /salute.
