Not a lucky trade, but I don't want to make a new thread just for this. I just joined a baal run, and someone from the previous run dropped an identified rare matriarchal bow beside the stash in Act 5. I picked it up and I thought the mods were very nice, with level requirement of 48. IIRC the mods were +1 bnc skills/20ias/3xxed/1xxar/poison damage/10min. I kept it and sold it about a week later for 30hrs.

I would never value it about that high. Did the other guy tell why he thought it was that much worth?

Nice trade for you, would be pretty weird if it poofed (who'd dupe a 14/16 torch?! :crazyeyes

i know, and I didn't have a torch yet, so it's a major difference in my damage output..

I would never value it about that high. Did the other guy tell why he thought it was that much worth?

It's a decent temp for a mid level dueler bowazon, he said. Furthermore it was found as a matri bow, instead of upgraded from exceptional version. Hence he can stick a gg jewel inside the bow without causing the req level to increase above 50.

how'd u get 2hr's if you just started again?

well its non-ladder so i have some1 ho buys 20 rals/20 sols/15 p Ame/20 p Ruby/ 40 yewels for 1 hr and i may make combinations and they aint rare drops
also had ist from my hf

oh and yesterday i was lucky to, with rushes i had ist um ist

Last week after trying for hours to get rid of an occy I finally traded it for a Zod. Hasn't poofed yet either.

My brother traded a 120/45 ias helmet for a very bad annihilus. He got scared that the helmet was a dupe and traded it again. From some other sources I know that the helmet didnt poof...

Someone got lucky..

traded a +1summoning skill gc (cost me 6 pgem to roll my baal charm to it) with no secondary mod for a near perfect ravenfrost ring and near perfect metalgrid.

Edit: Later on, I gave the metalgrid to my friend (we always give each other stuff when we could use it). He asked me if I wanted something for it, I said "Arach if it drops", I tele to baal, we kill him, arach drops. So for 1baal charm and 6 pgem, I got my friend happy, an arach and near perfect ravenfrost.

Back when D2 was really really popular, I would always refresh games every 5 secs to look out for cheap deals. It was during this period that the game names always refreshes, where in Hell mode 90% of which are trade games.

But now it's different it's always flooded with baal/chaos-bots games, and there are very little noobs to,er, do my "lucky" trades in Diablo unless the person is desperate.

Just traded a ptopaz'd 108 defense shako for a 415% ED EBotD Ghost Spear. I even offered a 20/-5 nightwings along with the shako, but he refused. He knew he was getting ripped bad, but in his defense, he never used it. Goes to show there are some decent people on bnet.

Wanted to gamble a bit today, so i boght 2 unid torches for 4 HR. I indentified both and they are 17/10 and 18/18 Ptorch. Very Nice!

My skele necs shako cost me a dol rune lol, guess someone reeeeeally wanted a dol. It was handy though, just when I was getting started and my gear was total junk. Wish I'd kept the account name of the guy who I bought it off, feel like throwing him a decent rune as it helped my mf running immensly.

i sold a 30 res hoto for 9 7 mf scs.

i also sold sigs belt for a jah and a sig shield for a pul.

Wow and I thought a crap bloodletter for a full sigons set was good.

Diablo 2 is infested with people trying to get more than what their items are worth. IK glove for Puls, 5 hrs for crappy Nigmas. It's all because of dupers really. I just laugh when I see any game "20-40hrs 4" to me that translates "maybe 3-4 real hrs 4".

I saw one game with "4 D keys for HR". I just had to join and let him know it's 3keysets for 1hr and you will be waiting awhile.

On the opposite side one guy had two lite facets and was thinking a pul would be a good. I told him he was undervaluing them and gave him his appropriate value PLUS a free torch. Shame on those consciously keeping new players out of the light during deals. You are a bane to the world and scum.

If all these HRs were legitimately found you wouldn't have people paying 5hrs more to have an extra few res points on their maras. Even with with bogus "perming" techniques my friend had about 7hrs poof selling lite GCs. The economy is ***** slapped because everyone is dealing in duped runes.

I once was going to trade an Enigma for an EBOTD Zerker and some other stuff, but I didnt' have enough room, so I cleared my inventory, came back, showed him a random cracked light plate, pressed "accept" for the fun of it, and I scammed him good.

It's people like you who ruin the game
