I don't understand pus spitter.

It has plus 2 to necro skills and it casts lower resits, something necros have anyway. Furthermore, it's low ctc. Even if you were to build a bow necro to use it, he would be better off with another bow and just casting lower resist himself. Would a bow necro really benefit from bonus skills anyway? It's not like it's going to give him more damage in his attacks. By the time a necro even finds this bow, he's going to have a wand with way more skills you can buy in town.

I tried making a freezing arrow zon that uses pus spitter to handle immunes. The going was very slow breaking immunes, almost as though the curse did nothing, likely from the 1/5 effectiveness.

Jeeze, what's the point of this crossbow?

Most of the 1.11 runewords are even worse. They all fall into this pattern:


+2 class skills
x% chance to override your prebuff with a lower level one when struck
y% chance to cast a uselessly weak version of something you already have on striking
+some misc other stats

Treachery is actually pretty awesome for non-sin physical classes and mercs
