I've had a lot of fun with this:
20 warmth
20 enchant
20 fire mastery
20 frozen orb
some cold mastery
static, teleport
She had HotO and a 35% spirit on switch with an umed Skin of the Vipermagi -----> 105% fcr on switch. The rest was stadard melee gear, so she doubled as an effective meleer and caster. And.........this:
In hindsight, lacking a shield while meleeing brought some challenges, but she has solid physical damage. Good enough to tear down FIs at a reasonable speed. Sorcs get a speed bonus with 2-handed axes. Weird.
I might have traded for a couple of ums, but I think they're mostly self-found. A gul was a hf drop, so it was definitely sf. Rest assured that none of them were duped.
What irritates me is that Raven doesn't work. That would help my melee sorc a lot.

Aside from what's been said, it makes for an interesting wolfbarb offhand weapon, and even doubles as a nice prebuffer as well.
