voila, i've done part of my homework and achieved a COH Armor... pretty decent, i got almost 900 def and resist are 65%
not baad
the next step would be shield, but then again, i can't choose : phoenix, seems good but expensive...is this the best choise?

edit : seems that Phoenix could help solve a part of Lightening resists problems with + 350%-400% damage... no?

Right ill give you a helpful answer beyond. Its crap or its good.
There are 5 main shields in my opinion.
Blocking
Sanctuary has decent blocking and high resists which can be up to 70% id make it in a trollnest since it is quite decent looking and has great block. Only use this if you are desperate for resists as well as blocking.
Stormshield
Great blocking and 35% damage reduction lacks resists but will make you very sturdy to physical attackers. pretty much only decent in pvp,
None blocking
Spirit monarch.
Great all around shield with 2 all skills to improve your java skills damage and comes with a very handy 55% FHR and a boat load of mana which is great for more fury attacks.
Pheonix
Great shield since it will effectively negate the need for leech so more attacking and less need to use HP pots. Also clears bodies so they cant be revived. The ed really isnt needed but will help to kill light immunes and leech hp back.
4 facet monarch.
Only really effective on switch with thunderstrokes for charged strike i dont see it as a decent shield to walk around with . Just use for bosses.
if your blocking without coh use sanctuary if you have coh then use Stormshield.
If your not blocking then use spirit as its cheaper and just as effective in combat as a pheonix and would let you gather better items elsewhere. Facet shield is nice for charged strike only

The ed will give higher physical damage, but that comes low on my priorities when using that shield.

Isnt jab interuptable? If so then the firestorm or what not will hinder any damage you get from the shield since your effectively stopping mid attack from the firestorm.
Anyways hes right the only reason the shield is decent is the redemption.

Anyways with infinity on merc hardly anythin will be immune.

Even after all those year, different option are considered very good and qualify for end game gear.

well, i made my spirit...i got a crapy cast rate (26%)... but it helps improving my jav. I will, now, spend my time and money trying to build infinity and hoping to drop a griffon eye^^ and some java skillier... who knows i could be lucky
could anyone guide me about stats...i know i need to put nothing in mana (as always) and requierd strength for gear... but what about dext and vitality
i suppose (need a confirmation) that dexterity isn't as important as my bowazone, because of the magical damage i'm using know... do i need to put everything in vitality?

So no, for this you don't need dex.
