Atma is installed, and the directory for atma in flavie says C:program files/Atma V

(I just typed that out, so I might be missing a colon or forward slash or something, but you get the idea)
 
Question About Flavie

I couldn't find this in the Stickied Mod's thread, so I guess I'll ask this here.

I muled my Pelta Lunata off of my necromancer after he found it, into an extended stash, .d2x file, on ATMA. (This might have been my problem, here, as my experience with ATMA is practically nothing..) It was pretty much a click and drag situation. Saved off the files, no issues.

Later, I decided to mule it onto my new sorceress, to complement her nice gemmed sabre (LOL!) in A1, norm, as the only Mule she's allowed in Normal (As per the Sept Rules) So, I save & exit D2, Load ATMA, Open the d2x file, and the Sorc's d2s file. Move the Pelta to my Sorc, Save Both Files, close ATMA, and continue my D2 Play.

Now, I've been playing with Flavie, just kind of seeing what it does, and viewing the complete reports from the full dump of my "Shared" stash (Mostly a place to hold all my useless S/U items) and my 2 characters.

Flavie is telling me that it detects the Pelta Lunata in both my shared stash d2x File AND my Sorceress, and proceeds to inform me that I have a duped item. I've double and triple checked all the files in question, and the pelta is only on my Sorc, and not in the d2x file, yet, every time I run a new full dump/report, it tells flavie that the pelta is still there..

Any insight/suggestions? I would hate to have to re-roll because of some reporting bug (though, if SPF demands it, I will), and I am confident that I never violated any rules or duped any items.. (I mean, duping a pelta lunata? wtf? Lol!)

Also: Sorry for the Wall of Text, Lol. I spend my days troubleshooting programming issues at work, and I tend to include as much detail as possible when describing a problem as a result! Heh..

The stickied thread is also the proper place to ask these questions (that's why it's not a locked thread). I'll move this over there in a second. But to answer your question...

The problem is most likely that the text file for the stash is out of date. You can manually force it to create another one within ATMA ("Full Dump" option from the 2nd or 3rd pulldown menu). Then create a new Flavie. Sometimes the text file doesn't update properly, but I never bothered to figure out why.

If the shield still shows the shield in the stash, try running the ATMA dupe detector too.

Ahh, sorry.

I've tried to make multiple Dump readouts, to no avail, and I'll try the dupe detector in ATMA now.

I know I haven't done anything wrong, so I suppose its not too big a deal. I'll keep my eye out for anything wierd in the future, I guess..

Edit: Ran the ATMA Dupe detector on the d2x file and my Sorc's Character file. Came up clean, I guess the dump just isn't updating correctly..

Edit2: Ahh. Found the problem. When you go to overwrite an old dump file with a new, rather than ask you if you want to overwrite, (like most programs, where "yes" results in overwriting the file) it asks you if you want to Append to the end of the existing file, Yes adds to the end without deleting, No overwrites, and cancel cancels the process.. Go figure.. I just have to read more carefully..

Try deleting the text file manually. If it won't update, erase it. Brute force, ftw! :grin: It'll be named the same as the stash (in the same folder), just with a .txt extension...

... just don't delete your .d2s, .d2x or .org files. :wink:

Depending on your Operating System, it might be a Window's problem too. I've had Win2k hang onto the "control" of a text file that I've closed before, so that I wasn't allowed to go back later and update/save it. Annoying as hell, and in which case it wouldn't really be an ATMA/Flavie issue. I don't remember it happening on other OS's, but you never know with Microsoft.

Er, I just installed 1.10 today to harvest my HF rushees and make a beta CtA, but I found something weird.. my 1.12 characters are showing up on the character selection screen a well O_o. Is this normal?

It is normal. There wasn't any real change in storing character info (including version info). I even think they might be able to open unless they contain something from newer versions (1.11 runewords or pandemonium keys)

Oh btw, where can I get the patch for 1.10s? I'm using the dll files from trenshadow switcher, but I have a feeling that they are 1.10 final. I tried looking on blizzard's old patches list, and they only have one 1.10 patch file as well.. xD

Edit: just found out after reading more that it's probably the one on phrozen keep. xD

Edit2: tried the one from phrozen keep, but can't patch it (keeps getting a 'lod expansion required'). Can anyone help me with this please?

Edit3: nvm, somehow made it work. Provably can't do it again though xD

Hi,

My bank of ATMA doesn´t open... I have set the path to the ATMA dir and have no other ideas and find myself stuck.

Any top tips or handy hints?

Do you have any character files open while opening the bank? It won't open if there's no open character files. At least that was what happened with me when I had the same problem xD

Having an ATMA problem. Using version 5.05. Have uninstalled and reinstalled a few times without luck. When I open stashes or characters in ATMA, they appear like this. It's like the windows are too small for what they are supposed to be showing, but they aren't resizable. Any ideas?

Confused.. Trying to dwonload the runewords file (MAC)

Hey, I have a macbook and I've been trying to download the runewords file from the sticky up top but I'm confused. When I download the the file, it comes up Diablo II Patch (Carbon). What do I do with this?

I downloaded gomule and it worked fine. ATMA wasn't working for some reason.

I'm so computer illiterate

Ya, I figured it I think. But more questions

D2 1.12a RRM RWM.zip

Does that contain both the rune color mod and the runeword mod?? it was found here:

Or do I need to download the third one down,

And if so, they are both titled the same thing when it shows up on my comp, so do I change the file name of one?

Yo!

I have started yet another project (boy, I wont be able to do any of them good..) and need some help. Is there a special version of ATMA for 1.10a? I have atma4 but when I try to load my chars nothing happens.. any thoughts?
