Hmm. I see this name get dropped all the time in random places, but this is the first time I've heard any of his work. A good sign for a new artist/song is that I don't cringe at any point while listening to it. I think I have a low tolerance for generic crap...
Darren Emerson? Prodigy? Man, where did all these beat lovers come from?? A couple months ago I thought this board was all about classics and metal. Colo(u)r me pleased with the new souljahs 'round 'ere!!
BOMBAMAN STUDIO MIX - BOMBAMIX003 - JANUARY 2009
Got this off a random site. It's an hour long VA mix that leans toward dubstep, but it's aggressive sometimes. Certainly not a perfect mix, but I like the parts at ~8:00, 18:45, & 26:00. Not made for standard computer speakers; must have a woofer, headphones, or a stereo connection to get the intense bass. Using a Speak 'n Spell at the 31:20 mark is genius. Right click --> Save Link As...

I forgot to say that Talib and Mos make a great duo. :thumbup: And since it's a hiphop post, I have to add that when I'm listening to Black Star I always think of this song from Blackalicious called A to G.
But falling asleep to the Postal Service? I still love that album. I'm currently obsessed with the last two tracks, Brand New Colony and Natural Anthem.

Haha, I just meant that Give Up is a very relaxing album to listen to. I enjoy playing a lot of the acoustic versions. I listen to some Death Cab as well.

Yes, they made a good duo indeed. I was lucky enough to attend a tribute concert to J Dilla performed by Mos Def: Big Band in Ann Arbor last summer and unfortunately missed a Kweli concert a month later due to work.

The only Sage Francis I know is Dance Monkey (this vid's pretty funny for a moment; it's Christopher Walken in Fatboy Slim's "Weapon of Choice" synched with the a fore mentioned S.Francis track). And I remember you name dropping Atmosphere before. Both were on an old list of things to find, but that list must've been lost somewhere in the ether. :scratchchin:

Omen is cool too, deffinently one of the tracks I've been listening to the most. That and Take Me To The Hospital. Stand Up is way cool too. I really like this album.

"Brighter than a thousand suns" from Iron Maiden's Dance of Death album.
I never listened to any album after Fear of The Dark before, but Dance of Death really is an awesome album.
