I'm looking for a cheap solution to the armor situation; I don't really have the funding for a CoH right now...I know people said that Smoke was a good alternative, but what about an upped Um'd Duriel's? it doesn't have the FHR, but its got cannot be frozen, some str, and a decent +life mod. Would this be a better choice than Smoke?

Not really, CBF is on RF, the life is eh, and you shouldn't stat around the str on the armor.
I hold that smoke is one of the best alternatives.

Ok i'm starting to lvling my druid now over lvl 90, and i will not have time in future to play so much as i did, so i will have to use my druid for something else beside ubering, and by that, i mean having fun in PvM 8 mostly.
So even if this is rly good pvm too ofc, and i dont have any problems in hell, never using potions never having any trouble, i'm just wondering how to tweak my equipment to have as high dmg as possible.
Basicly what crossed my mind for now is fort instead coh, but now weapon is main question, is there some way to make tombreaver or any other weapon, like, my dmg in pvm with spirit, without merc, is around 4-6k, i would like to get it to around 10k, so i'm just thinking if its possible.
So for weapon how much ias would i need for tombreaver? I would get 3s eth one, so one s would have to go for zod, and that leaves 2 more, ofc 40/15 jewels are too expensive, so thats why i'm asking you guys, because i dont know anything about weapon speed and breakouts, how much ias on tombreaver would i need to break that speed that we have with ribby, like, would i have to spend both sockets on shael/ias jewel, or one is enough that would leave me with 1 s for 40%ed dmg jewel.
And is there any other part of equipment that could boost my dmg if changed, like some helm or something?
I dont think there are any gloves/boots/belts/rings/ammy that would change it, so i'm mostly focused on what helm/armor/weapon would bring me closest to highest dmg possible.

My ribby dudu is now lvl 86. I have aquired all the epuipment - except i use smoke untill i can afford coh. I have a 5/5 dual leech ring with cold and psn res as only secondary mods instead of 2nd raven.
My charms are:
GCs: 2xss skillers, ss skiller/32 life, 10max/71AR, 6max/49AR/8life, 113AR/4dex.
LCs: 17-14 Torch.
SCs:Light/fire/cold res (8,9,10 :/), 100 psn, 2max/17AR
Now, my problem is getting the numbers Bjam describe for AR and especially life. I have an AR around 12000 and im struggling just to get my life above 3000. How do u manage 4000? And is this even necessary?
I cannot afford cta, so this is not an option - is it my lack of vita charms that is the problem?
Hope u can help me with ideas on what I could do to boost my life.

I thought about the 2xspirit approach but i think that a spirit shield needs too much str.
So what about that +4 ondal - what would i have to give for such a thingy?
Atm im using a 2 ss amu and an extra ss skiller for shape shifting but im still only getting 3045 life - 4400 with OS. An anni would ofc give me some life but not that much... hm...
I'm not going for angelic as i need the res from my (near perfect
) metalgrid.
Anni + Ondals + 2 ss amu might help me...but will it suffice?
Im also wondering whether skillers or AR charms will give me the highest benefits?

duress choice n1, even though i didnt bother making it because uped duriell shell was good enough for me, but yeah, uped duriel, bane, duress, not so big difference, all are good enough for time untill coh comes online, even though duress is slightly better then them, but ofc, if u have one of them around, just use it and focus on getting coh.

Question: Does the Ribcracker really have to be upped? I'm on realms; I don't do Ladder. Upping it seems to result in a slower weapon. I got all the other gear, and am trying it out.

I want to be really wicked and popular; so I'm going for the Ribs/Buriza combo, using the best of both worlds. Buriza for Chaos (and Furnace of Pain!), Ribs everywhere else. Hee hee. How's that? I'm gonna practice using the Rogue's Bow.
