I mentioned I already have salvation/treachery. :)

Was wondering if you thought my guy was about ready and if anything needed to be changed?

Maybe a dwarf star instead of the second raven to have absorb for all elements except for poison.

And yeah, my photoshop skillz are mindboggling. xD
 
Davio, you know what's funny? My gear is almost EXACTLY like yours. The only difference is that I use a magic 14@ ring instead of a second Raven. And the thing is: I have many small and grand @res and single resist charms. With them, I have 54 cold and ~45 lightning resists WITHOUT Treachery/Conviction. This is so convenient...
 
Ok, but which skill will I be putting the rest of my points in now that I have maxed all the basic skills?

Also what stats do you have? I have about 159str with everything on, it's all bugged together. Everytime I die I have to puzzle what I can put on first.

136 dex with gear, needed to wear the Phase Blade.

Rest vita, energy none.

Stats: I did not know whether I'd be getting an Annihulus any time in the future, so I went for 120: with an obligatory Raven, it's JUST enough for a Phaseblade. Also, I don't need any more than that, since my block is maxed with Holy Shield. As for Strength: 80 base + 20 HoZ + 10-15 Dracs (mine are 15, but it does not matter) = almost enough to wear a Guillaume's.

Skills: I pumped the usual Sacrifice + Zeal + Holy Shield + Fanaticism. Leftover points go into Defiance, to boost Holy Shield even further. As you can see, I tagged Salvation (used it before I got a Treachery) and Redepmtion (rarely use it, but it can be useful in certain situations).

With this setup, I have no problems killing Ubers, even when others REALLY mess Uber Trist up (I use a LT wand + Stormshield [I bought it for Tir, lol :cool:] on switch. Storm for block).
 
Why don't you use a spirit for 2 more points on life tap? Or do extra skill points not make much of a difference for life tap?
 
ok guys i have a question... heres what i'm planning on using for my Hdin to 1 pt smite those lesbian ubers:

Draculs
Guilliames face
Goblin toe
6X shael PB
HOZ(higher dmg, plus i dont got exile)
planning on making RW gloom
Planning on also making a RW Treachery
Ravenfrost + Dwarfstar
Tgods

so i should have max ias when using max concentration aura,(higher dmg then 1 pt fanat) 60 CB, 20 res in hell (not counting treachery prebuff or passive res from skills), and i believe i do 1k smite. i put 1 pt into zeal but personally i dont think zeal is going to do very much with a 6X shael PB, so tell me if i should stick to smite or not. plz tell me the pros and cons.

oh mi gosh!! i forgot that without enigma, i need more str. aw crud this sux.... (grabbing the calculator.)

also, can some1 take of pic when playing diablo, of their lifetap wand, and put it on photo bucket and post a link so i can see what it looks like? is it charges, because it would normally say necro only.

i'm sorry guys i accidentally put "gloom". i thought that was the highest res runeword for not too cheap. i ment to say ill be making smoke its much much cheaper and has 5 more res.(i'm running low on hrs via, full Hdin) or if u guys recommend a cheap high res item, or have a really low def dusk coh u guys want to trade me, ill give u some usless stuff like 3os mp, 4os ap, tal helm, keys, etc (i got alot of not too important stuff on mule)


 
This is a great guide! Thank you! My question is: if you state that maxing smite does not give much dmg difference, then maxing zeal gives even less difference in dmg... The only reason I can think of to max zeal is for its attack rating added per lvl. However, what if I'm using an ITD (ignore target defence weapon) weapon? AR should not matter in this case. I know ITD does not work on bosses or super uniques, but for them, I can simply smite them. So, my point is, why don't we put a single pt in Zeal (let +skills make it 5 hits) and spend points elsewhere. Any opinions on this?
 
What if my char is for boss runnings and ubers (like the title of this thread)? Smite may be my major attack skill, and zeal is only for crowd control and effective minion killing...
 
If one was to choose between:

Rare ring
7% life leech
5 to strength
5 to energy
7% resist all
9% cold resist

And BK4 for the second ring slot besides raven, which one would be best?
 
Another question.

I found a semi-nice Zakarum Shield with 193 def (max), 39 all res and 3 sox.

Should I make a Sanctuary in it and use that or stick with my ummed non-upped low def (160 ed) Herald of Zakarum?
