Mouse Problems With Diablo 2

Don't know if anyone else has experienced this, but:

When I first installed Diablo 2 about a week ago I couldn't scroll my skills with my mouse wheel. I ended up realizing I need to set it to do that in the configuration controls, however at first I couldn't. Then, randomly, it worked.

Today Diablo 2 would crash every time I ran it, randomly, so I needed to reinstall it.

I had to reinstall it twice, but I did eventually get it to work.

However, now I'm back at the same problem with the mouse. I can't use the scroll wheel to go through my skills and this is very frustrating. I cannot set any of the controls to the scroll wheel up/down or mouse middle-click in the settings.

I'm not sure what to do!

technically, you are not allow to scroll skills anymore (with the scroll mouse button). bnet will automatically drop you if you do that.

i don't know the logic behind it. but you just can't

i think it's in the readme.

Try bringing up your skills by clicking on the lower right hand side Plus sign (+) then hovering your cursor of the desired skill u will want to access via your scroll wheel. then assign it to an Fkey (F1-F8) by pressing the desired Fkey. Once u have all the ones u want accessible, close the skills and try rolling your scroll.... U'll see

??? I always use this method for all my characters. With my hamerdin, F5 = concentration, F6 = teleport, F7 = redemption. After that when i play i just scroll with my mouse between those skill. My game never drop, bnet never ban me...

No.
All the skills are already set to the F keys. They do not scroll.

What? I always scroll skills, on every character. It has worked on every computer, every character and every version i can remember. I have never had any problems with it so i don't think thats true

You are still able to scroll skills, but what he is saying is that to do so frequently would result in the game dropping you (ie. temp ban).

I have yet not experienced that, and i do scroll skills very frequently

Edit: Very weird indeed :shocked:
