Muling & Reporting: The ATMA/GoMule/Flavie Thread ifra

ATMA Pet Peeve:

ATMA's quick-click under "File", which allows you to access the most ten recent stashes/characters without the bothersome process of File/Load/etc., occasionally shows some of my new creations as:

C:\Program Files...[Insert Name]

Most of the time it shows it as:

[Insert Name], but occasionally it gives the pathway as well.

I hate seeing the C:\Program Files...[Insert Name]. It's a big reason why I choose to delete some characters/rename some characters.

Is there anyway to stop this display? I just want it to read:

[Insert Name], NOT C:\Program Files...[Insert Name]

Looking at the screenshot, not all of them are in the same directory. I'm betting that has something to do with it.

I found another small bug: the MF on the stats page isn't calculated correctly. It ignores the %MF per level from Ali Baba's or Skullders.

Hm, it does?

Cheers Cormallon. Surprised thats the only bug so far with the stats stuff. It wasn't easy, everything has to be applied in order and blizzard has to have per level, percent, +, etc :P

Is your Ali Babi on switch? I think the MF display is just that from the primary weapon and shield but I didn't trying swapping them around to check.

Definitely not ;) I took off the two items and only the MF from a jewel in AliBabas and a PTopaz in Skullders got subtracted from the shown MF.

was there a fix to having more than 6k items for a flavie report? I finally breached that milestone.

To clarify: It's not 6k total items for me where Flavie stops, it's more than double that items. I took away about 6k items from the project and it worked again. I didn't check it with R0.19.1 though.
@silospen: I could try to send you all my stashes, but I guess that shouldn't be necessary to test that. Just copy a large stash a few times (cough... but it is for testing purposes only) and put all copies in a project.

Anyone? I can't play a new character I've had my heart set on until I can get his name to be unsillified by ATMA. :[

As an example, taken from here, in case of confusion.

I want all my characters to read as Tchaikovsky. It's a small thing, I know, but it makes me go ajkdghasghlkdsgj;lskdag.

Hmm ... that is an aspect of MS VC++ (i.e the loading of the most recent files) that I took advantage of when I was coding ATMA. This is a free capability that came with it and I did not muck around with it to fine tune it in any way so I do not particularly know if there is any way to have it display the file without the path.

One question I would like to ask is what happens if you have multiple files with the same name in different directories. How would you distinguish between them if they are all displayed without the path name?

I have 1.09/1.10a/1.10s/1.11b on my comp. When I create a new character, it's stored in all four save directories.

All characters that aren't 1.11b will have the:

C:\Program Files\...\Name

But some of my 1.11b characters will have it, while others won't.

I just did some testing with my own characters. If their name consists of 5 characters or less, it displays C:\Program Files\...\<name>. If their name is any longer, it only displays <name>. Hope this helps

EDIT: And if you don't want to force yourself to painfully long character names: stuffing them in something like C:\folderwithanamethatsjustwaytoofrigginlong works as well.

<3 muzzz <3

muzzz, you just made my day. :D

Pure. Genius.

No wonder all my pre-1.11b characters show up like that, especially with names like mule1, mule2, mule3, etc.

However, I find myself unable to rename anything... I can't rename the save folder, I can't rename Diablo II for some reason, and I'm pretty sure renaming Program Files will screw up a lot of things. What can I rename?

That depends on how your telling D2 to use your different save directories. I bet the easiest way would be to tell it to use a different set, and copy your files there.

When I first joined the forum, someone put two Gheeds on a character via ATMA and did some MFing. The Doc released an update to stop it being possible to do, and the person concerned restarted.

I was swapping around some Gheeds in GoMule last night and it is possible to mule two onto a character at the same time. I didn't play the char concerned, but thought you may want to add a fix to this onto the "To Do" list.

Huh? 10 chars.

You mentioned using four different save directories. I'm guessing you're not copying/renaming those directories by hand, because in that case it'd be easy to start using different directories. So you're probably using some sort of program, or maybe .bat files, to do that work for you. Now, I haven't the slightest clue how version switching is usually done. But I'm guessing that whatever is managing the save directories for different versions can be configured to use different save directories. I'm afraid that's about all the help I can offer without knowing more about your setup.
