A good PvP & PvM build?

A good PvP & PvM build?

I'd like to build a character that's well rounded and specializes in both. Would a whirlwind barbarian be a good choice? It seems like the IK set is good for both styles... if I can ever complete it.

Bottom line is that I'd really like to use a barbarian, not necessarily a singer.

The IK set doesn't cut it in PVP unless you're invading LLD games and even then most casters will put you down.

What if I had something like Naj's Puzzler on switch so I could teleport next to casters and whirlwind?

Most of the IK set's damage is elemental and crushing blow, both those damage types are about half a step up from useless in PVP.

Very true... not much physical damage at all. I think I'll try the Barbarian forum for PvM/PvP builds. Thanks again man.

Hammerdin would be the best choice IMO.

but Hammerdins are so boring... I'd rather be a class that's equipment reliant like the Barbarian. Plus, I've always been partial to them. I wonder if a throwing Barbarian would be a good choice?

Wailing Beasts in the Act 3 Kurast Temples are THE ONLY thing immunt to Hammers.

but i find hammerdins extremely tedious and boring.

Generally a PvP char doesn't do well PvM. And a PvM char doesn't cut it PvP.

Closest I've ever seen to dual purpose is a pure light sorc. Some gear changes required but probably the easiest.

I'll echo the thoughts that the IK set doesn't do it for PvP. Duress, Beast/Grief dual WW would be better for PvP.

Frenzy barbs are good for PvM and WW are good for pk..
