These Stickies are Made for Reading Thread - Summer 2007 i

you don't squish the big ones, you smash them

I know how you alchys are, all the same, you can't have enough herb, I got the stuff, you got the money?

Aye, I got money.

The market's so high on Super Healing and Mana pots that I still make money if I buy what I need for pots... and since I'm a pot master, I make free money off of the extra pot procs.

I gather weed and sell pot :wink3:

I just found out I have to buy a retail copy of the game in order to continue playing it. I thought I would just be able to pay the fee, and continue using the other key. If I had known that, I would have bought the blasted thing when I went out last night. :unimpressed:

But now, do I need to buy only the expansion or do I have to get both?

You should be able to do it online.. go to the main site... I'll pm you a link soon. There's an account management page.

Edit: Go here and log in. You should be able to manage your account from there.

I found the WoW people very helpful when I emailed them with a query. Seemed a sensible thing to do. Email the company concerned. Or there is this site.

Don't they have insect repellent in Nam, EA?

"There is a problem with this website's security certificate." It wont let me access that link.

I did go to the account management page from where you log in at, but it's telling me I need to enter a retail cd-key in order to upgrade the account. I just need to know if I need to get only the original version, or if I need to get the Burning Crusades version since it was included in the trial pass download. Or do I need to get both?

Both.

But you don't have to get TBC to actually play. You can play on WoW's original content, and interact with those running TBC - but you will be unable to acess specific TBC content.
Let me look into some trial faq's.

I read that, that's why I was asking about it. I just don't know if I need only to get the expansion or not, since both are already downloaded/installed on my computer. From what i could see, the link it provided has only the expansion listed, which is what brought about my original question.

If I need the original version as well, then I would have to into town to get it. Just trying to save myself a trip into town if I can help it.

You can pass on buying the expansion for a while if you want to. I think Blizz has the retail version buyable online now- or that might have been a direct online upgrade from WOW to TBC.

I think you will. I never did it that way but I would thing you need the original games' retail key as well.

Just like DII (no pun) and LOD.

I was afraid of that. It's storming outside, so it's going to have to wait now. I hate going into town if I don't really need too...

Hence the comment I made a while back.

I would wait on Burning Crusade unless you're planning on starting new characters because you really won't be experiencing much of the new content until you hit lvl58

I'm keeping the same character for the time being. There were a couple of others I wanted to try, but I was going to wait until the current one is a bit higher level first. What are the differences between the two besides the higher level cap, more quests, and a couple new character classes?
It's a Legend!!!!
Now you're just being silly. :azn:
Be careful what you lick, you don't know where it's been!

thats most of it, I'll just expand on that a little

no new classes were added, they just became available to both factions

the outlands are there for 60-70 so you'll go awhile before seeing them

if you got the expansion now, the only impact you would see is if you made a new toon with one of the new classes or visited exodar and goofed off there

I never really got to make a hunter, so I made one on LLane

Chromia

but shes draenei, so not really near anybody, but I can get myself to the eastern kingdoms at some point, will worry about it when you're signed up
