Ladder reset time???

Its almost 11:15 here almost midnight.... what time will the realm be down and the ladder reseting? Like will it be 12-4 or something like that? Seeing if maybe I could stay up and start a character before I leave to go to florida.

I was wondering the same thing...
I don't work at all that day.. so I have no specific time of getting up. But if it's going to be early... I don't wanna be sleeping my day away..
And I also don't want to sit on my computer until 8 at night when it FiNaLy gets reset and we get to start....

But, eh. Oh well. Ya win some ya lose some.

Blizzard ist 9 hours before Germany. So now ist midnight, they wont go to work in midnight. And I dont think the first employee of blizzard will press THE button on 8:00. I think they will do so in the afternoon. So I THINK the reset will be in the night from 25 to 26 here in Europe. Therefor I had asked a German Diablo Websmaster, and he thinks same …

US west isn't too laggy or anything. its been just like the past few days..so it might be several more hours.

I agree on the logic (although I guess they would reset before it's noon at Blizzard), but as a matter of principles, I don't believe in third hand statements which are told to be made by Blizzard employees

IIRC the last reset was at about 20-21 CET which would be 11-12 AM for Blizzard, assuming you are right with the 9 hours.

Blizzard's offices are located on the West Coast IIRC; logic suggests that they'd do a final check in the morning and run it once they're all set. So 10am-1pm Pacific (just like the last reset) sounds about right.

I'm long past being disappointed with Blizzard -- they haven't cared about the D2 crowd since they cast off the original creative team that made the damned game. Any bone they throw us is a miracle these days. However, the utter lack of communication from their end... a whole five days warning before the reset, no patch, and ZERO indication of the timetable up to the day of the reset iteself... it's beyond disappointing, it's insulting.

Don't talk about the number of players please......just look at the state of bnet forums, practically the same kind pple as with all previous resets

In fact, I would do it the same way as Blizzard. I think it's unfair to have so huge expectation towards Blizzard regarding such an old game. They don't owe us a thing. Therefore, if you feel insulted, it's not not Blizzard's problem, but yours.

First, this is a 6-7 years old game, you cannot seriously demand improvements for it, for free. If they do it, fine. If they don't, it's not that bad as well. Regarding patches, I expect them to fix serious loopholes, as long as they keep up bnet, but nothing more. Second, if they said the ladder will reset in let's say 4 weeks, I'm sure a lot of people would complain about it, demanding a quicker reset. Third, the reset probably isn't just the pressing of a button or executing an SQL statement like "update chars set ladder=0 where ladder=1". Diablo is a naturally grown game and the original developer crew has left. There's probably nobody who knows the game good enough to understand all of it. Therefore it would be a high risk to announce a specific reset time and if there is a delay, a lot of people will be upset about it. There are enough fanatics who might have taken a few days of vacation or ditch school/university/work for it.

Making no promises is still better than making many and then not being able to keep them.

But if anyone were in the know, it would be Blizzard. To be honest, to simply map out a designated time to press the button or whatever it is that resets the ladder is not something that needs to be an exact science. They could plan it for noon (their time), and still be able to execute. I don't see why they couldnt have provided an approximate time at least.
