Guardian #2 The naked assasin: Nuts

Morathi started the We love to be naked Tournament at 15 april and I joined this tournament at 16 april.

I did full clear, use of charms and varying psettings. roughly this was p setting:
normal:8
nightmare: mostly 7 or 8 I think
hell 1&2: mostly 5 I think
hel3: 3
hell4,5: 1

The whole story of Nuts how she went through the anxious world of diablo can be read in that thread, I entered hell difficulty at page23.
Playing this char made me especially realise how strong a skill as Mind Blast is.

I ended up with these skills

The merc I used was an act2 Might merc, he used these items:

And I would like to thank Insane Wayne for the great inspiration I got from reading his posts, I would also like to wish him best luck with his Druid, Especially versus Baal, who's cold attack will really hurt and the Oak will die very often.

-Well, I don't think she will make the best pvp'er: she does have a nice life pool, but damage seems a bit too low for pvp and especially at HC this might not be the best plan with her
-I could also try to go for lvl 99, but seeing that it took me like the whole afternoon to reach baal and kill him at p1, killing him at p8 might just take a little bit too long to seriously attempt lvl 99.
-MFing, you can't get yourself very much MF when you're naked, so, not a good idea.
-Bragging: ah I'll use her for this :D

I already congratulated you with this achievement in the tourney thread, but I think it deserves another gratz here. And another post++ won't hurt either...

Also good job on the merc equip, especially since the rules said 'single pass'.
 
We seem to be breeding naked Guardians recently must be something in the air. :grin:

I’d like to finish this tourney as well, but with my pally I’m afraid it is quite impossible for me, killing act bosses really hurt. For example when I was killing normal Diablo, I realized how much I lack the belt. What was the most uncomfortable in your case?
 
Big congratz, I can't stand you guys who are naked. How can you endure trhough hell? Amazing done...

Congrats Easy! I'm hoping I can make it through Hell, but not sure I will with all my resists around -50. Good work! :thumbsup:

Good luck with your pally. With a paladin will be very very difficult I guess. The biggst problems I had was mana in nightmare difficulty. Mindblast and Death sentry really use a lot of mana. Especially with extra fast groups this was problematic. This problem was solved by leveling, from somewhere around 100 mana started to feel comfortable.
Problems in hell were champion packs, since they cannot be converted or blinded with CoS and OK's in WSK, since they cannot be converted or blinded aswel. Normal OK's can be stunned with Mind blast luckily.

Good luck with your challenge! You can go more offensively maxing out lightning sentry and maybe some of the synergies and put Fade at lvl 10 or something and mind Blast somewhere at lvl 5 and leave CoS and fire blast at 1 and maybe shadow at 17. The problem with this is that the duration of CoS and Mindblast will be short and your sentries will also be very mana intensive.
With other words, you'll be really low on mana all the time, especially since you don't have a belt. A solution is to put points in energy, but this will mean you'll be low on your life pool.
I had a situation in the great marsh, where I only had 79 life left and very often around 200-300 points left, so those points in vitality can be just those important points to survive.



 
Congrats EasyGijs, phenomenal effort. I noticed a lull in the tournament, but all of a sudden, *boom* Guardian. 270 town trips *shudder*
