Error Message help please

Ok, that's a new one to me.
Is this a Windows or Macintosh computer? Did you play on Battle.net before with no problems?
If you kill Andariel, then instead of going to Act II save the game and restart the game to try to get to Act II do you get the same error? I assume no other programs are running when playing Diablo.

Why yes It is an assasin, very strange.
No I dont play with any sound shortcut.
Reinstalling, and going to see if have same problem.
I wouldn't bother reinstalling, I've never been able to fix it. I would just play short games wherever possible and hope it doesn't crash. The game saves itself every so often anyway so even if this happens you shouldn't lose much, about 5 minutes at most (plus any time needed to walk back to where you were).

I had this happening when ever I play on one of the acct's that does not have admin prilivages on my desktop computer, it has a place to make different accts and setting ie. for mom, dad, paul, ect. Not a fluke I have checked it out on my lap top also. May be this is a bug that may be fixed if ever reported but I just go to an admin acct and all is fixed for me. Hope this helps ya.
It happened everytime I tried to upgrade to act2.
I have admin privilages (Sp?) So dont think thats what happens with me.
Bah Still does not work.. same error message.
Have you installed the latest patch? If not, thats your probelm, log onto b.net and it will update automatically for you.
3 Things:
1 - The assassin is your most likely problem. They are bugged, specifically their cloak of shadows skill (I could be wrong about this, but through my own experience I'm pretty sure it is this skill). It only happens to me in certain areas, namely prolonged Ancients battles (NM at /p 8, Hell). Also in Act2, and I think once in Act1, so I'm pretty sure it can happen anywhere. I have no idea what causes it, but it generally seems to be localized to a specific area, or completely random, so if you can get through that area quickly and without using Cloak of Shadows you should be ok.
2 - If this is happening after you kill Andy, go to town, talk to Warriv, click "Go East," then the game crashes, #1 is probably irrelevant. At this point it might be a video-related error (the between-act cut-scenes), or a sound related error. I play with no sound at all, because back in my b.net days my game would crash in Worldstone, and after defragging the ol' harddrive I find my D2 sound file is fragmented beyond control. A complete re-install would obviously help, but simply turning the sound off in-game or using no-sound command is a quick fix.
3 - This is the least likely, but worth mentioning. Back in my b.net days (again) I would get an Unhandled Exception Error very similar to that one. I eventually learned that my CPU was running at an overclocked speed, and that some part of my Hardware or Operating System did not like that when playing games. Reducing my CPU speed fixed this immediately. (Note: I say this solution is unlikely because I was getting this message all the time, and I couldn't play D2 at all.) If you don't know how to go into your bios settings at startup to change this, find someone who does, or at least a very good source (internet, somewhere....)

Tried on differant player setting that didnt seem to work.
Havent Installed RWM yet, will try in asec.
Have no sound as I have no option for it on setting ingame.
Dont think It is my CPU, but I removed everything I dont need from task mannager and still didnt work.
If RWM does not work, could I "hypothetically" Create a char using a hero editor, and just mule my items over with Atma or as I have actually completed Andy quest fully now for some reason, I.e Has gone Grey, could I again "hypothetically" using char editor just place my char in act two.
Would either way using hero editor "taint" my items?
