LF Zon: Java glove with 20 ias?

LF Zon: Java glove with 20 ias?

Ok I've always have a perception/or heard that a +3 Java 20 ias
or a +2 Java 20 ias Magical glove is very good for a Javazon.

So I've been trying to shop them from Anya for more than 2 hours:
I get:

+1 Java 20 ias (3 times! How lucky i am! Duh! -.-)
+3 Java 18 dex
+3 Java 3 Life Steal
+3 Java 15 Strength
+2 Passive & Magic 20 ias
+2 Martial Arts 20 ias
+3 Martial Arts 5 Strength

My Javazon is PvM only and maxed LF and CS and LS

attack speed doesn't seem affecting any of the Light skills above.
the speed calculator only shows Standard, Jab, Fiend, Strafe, Impale
for an Amazon anyway. (side note: i suppose multi arrows speed is
considered as standard?)

attack speed only matters when I Jab, for my amazon's purpose it
would only be used to deal with Light immunes. Now to look at my
gears, i don't have a single source of ias in them, e.g. I use Maras
instead of highlords.

Is it worth all to invest more time to try to search for that +2 or +3
java 20 ias? or actually +3 Java 18 dex is pretty good for my use?
that 18 dex gives me 5% more block. (I use spirits monarch)
or should i use +2 Passive 20 ias?

General purpose PvM only.
whats your take?
 
You could also try crafting a set. Then you'd get +2jav 20ias kb (may take a while to get these mods, the kb you will get everytime)
 
yeah kb isn't that important... basically i wanna know
if ias is that important as most claims, do javazon really
"jab" that much?
 
IAS does affect lightning fury speed. The game works by breakpoints, where getting above a certain IAS will make your attack 0.04 seconds faster.

kb is not important because it works for the javalin itself, not the fury.

i know about the breakpoint and stuff, but i wonder why the
speed calculator didn't include those skills, if they are affected by ias bps.

also i've kinda compared the set up with 0 ias and 40 ias. the Jab skill
improved, but no difference whatsoever on the CS, LS, LF skills.
if LF breakpoint do exists, is there a table or a list that you can give me
reference to, so i can test it out? thanks. the first BP better be larger
than 40, coz i can't tell a difference when i throw a Java using LF.

also what about CS and LS, do they affected by breakpoints too?



 
I have to correct myself a little here. I decided to be a little careful and
test it again.
I now do see some difference between 0 ias 40 ias.
but the difference is very minimal, may be as you said 0.04 seconds
faster. anyway, anyone have a ias breakpoint table for all those
related skills?

so i guess the next question would be:
is that tiny bit of difference worth it?

0ias i get to use Maras and 3java18dex glove
40ias i need to use Cats eye and 2passive20ias or 1java20ias glove
 
As far as I know skills doesnt show up in the speed cal just use normal attack table. So just choose normal attack from the drop down menu you should be able to get the ias bp yourself. However, it's info. isn't correct for bow bp so I seldom use it.

On the other hand, I dont think ias is important at all for LF/CS/LS in PvM. I'm doing fine without much ias. That allows me to use +3 Java 3 ml glove and +skill +resist + str +life ammy.

Yes, I believe that every little bit of IAS you can get is a good thing when you are dealing elemental and physical damage at the same time- as in a Lightning Javazon or a Frost Zealot. The faster you can put down the damage, the more damage in a set time you can deal. Having the extra speed (no matter how small) is also good when you have charms that add elemental damage in addition to your normal attack.

I would say go for the highest +skill gloves with the highest IAS increase you can get.

Crafting is the way to go on the gloves, though. See Superdaves crafting guide
