I've highlighted the mods that I find so useful. If someone posts the damage readout on an upgraded 'Cracker, you'll see what Nightfish is talking about.

Two-Hand Damage: (54-62) To (143-169)
Required Level: 31
Required Strength: 25
Durability: 130
Base Weapon Speed: [0]
+200-300% Enhanced Damage(varies)
Adds 30-65 Damage
+50% Damage To Undead
50% Chance Of Crushing Blow
50% Increased Attack Speed
50% Faster Hit Recovery
+100% Enhanced Defense
+100 Defense
+15 To Dexterity

If you have any character in need of a good two-handed weapon all the way through Nightmare, this is a solid choice. If you can upgrade it, its amongst the most potent two-handed weapons in the game.

3 Perfect Gems (of any type) + 1 Magic Item = 1 New Random Magic Item of the Same Type

You can use this formula to get another chance at a Magic Item of the same type. The ilvl = ilvl. This means to use 100% of the ilvl of the input item. It's important to note the difference between "the ilvl is set to a fixed number" like what happens in some recipes and "the ilvl of the output is exactly the same as the ilvl of the input" as is the case here. So if you're cubing for +skills Grand Charms, for example, you want to use Charms starting from late Nightmare, not ones that dropped in the Normal Blood Moor.

Yep, also works for jewels. I have no clue what the optimal ilvl would be...

according to d2data.net, ilvl 66 for ruby prefix, ilvl 39 for fervor - i've been wondering that too, so thanks for motivating me to look it up.

BTW, how did we get on rerolling magics from the original question about ribcrackers? :p

Once-upped Steeldriver is maybe the best damage for clvl 34, but Ribby has way better mods.
