Question bout FO\CL sorcs...

i read this build: http://www.purediablo.com/guides/news.php?id=562 and im interested...

he wrote this:
Monster with 75 in cold resistance (for instance Mephisto):
Cold Mastery 0 (0%): 265 * (100 - 75 + 0)/100 = 66
Cold Mastery 1 (20%): 265 * (100 - 75 + 20)/100 = 146 (improvement of about 120%)
Cold Mastery 7 (50%): 265 * (100 - 75 + 50)/100 = 199 (improvement of about 200%)
Cold Mastery 17 (100%): 265 * (100 - 75 + 100)/100 = 331 (improvement of about 400%)
Cold Mastery 27 (150%): 265 * (100 - 75 + 150)/100 = 464 (improvement of about 600%)

whats so good in dat? 464 dmg? its low... isnt it?
i really wanna do this build cause its a nasty killin machine...
what do u say bout this build?

after readin comments, is it really weak as in hell as it written there?
cause i thought bout lightnin sorcs but lightnin immunes and high res mobs are a big prob... dats y i wanna combine it with FO...

That is the damage of each ice-shard that will appear when FO is cast....

I don't see an FO/CL Sorc have any problem in Hell. Might be a bit harder with Lightning, but FO/CL Sorc is about one of the best builds you can use to run The Pit for example.

You will mainly use Fireball, Frozen Orb. Then you have your Mercenary along who will tank for you. Simply cast the Meteors directly on him and see the fire eat anything ;)

now i got decent fire dmg and high FO dmg 2...
i never used Meteor b4. the dmg written (3900 avg without skills) is the hit dmg? or after the hit? "the on the floor fire"?
sorry for dat noobish Q. :thumbsup:

The first damage is the damage when the meteor strikes, correct. Then, the burning fire that is left after the collision is otherwise calculated, burning slowly. It is very obvious to see the meteor strike damage (very quickly lowers the enemy's life) and then the slow decrease of their life as the remaining fire burns away.
