We’re always keeping an eye on Diablo IV jobs and a new one has just opened up at Blizzard. This week Blizzard is seeking a Narrative Designer and perhaps that could be you. Diablo 3’s dialogue was a real hit and miss affair so let’s hope they find the right person.
The Narrative Designer will be making sure the character tone is spot-on and it’s interesting they are stressing you would be working on the “dark gothic world of Diablo”. It sounds like they are steering away from Diablo 3’s narrative style. Let’s face it, some of the dialogue in Diablo 3 was not exactly stellar. Classics such as “let the games begin” from Maghda and “Look! More Hidden Footprints!” by the Enchantress. Those two were particularly bad.
We Need You
The minions of Hell are growing stronger…
We’re working on a new, unannounced Diablo project. Are you a skilled Narrative Designer? Come work with us, and together we will build something exceptional.
Our team of talented developers is growing. Our backgrounds are diverse, but we all share a real passion for what we do. We believe that if you’re looking for a tight-knit crew that celebrates self-expression and embraces collaboration, we might be a phenomenal fit for you.
Stuff We Will Trust You With
You will work with our quest designers on copy writing, editing of dialogue scripts, and keeping consistency with character and tone. You will facilitate communication of our gameplay goals to voice actors in the recording sessions. You will work with your teammates, the Quest Designers and Sound Designers, to ensure all assets are consistently meeting the high quality bar Blizzard is known for.
Would you excel in an environment of peers who are enthusiastic about working on the dark gothic world of Diablo, and would you love making phenomenal games, killing millions of monsters and getting loot? Of course you would!
