Blizzard has announced that Season 4 is ending “soon” and has also set a start date for Season 5.
There’s still over two weeks left for Season 4 and then a two week gap before the next season starts. So what does this mean for the final 2.4.0 release? Based on past patch releases and season starts, the patch comes out first then there’s a period of time for players to adjust before the next season starts.
The Season start and end dates are as follows:

- North America: Wednesday, December 30 @ 5:00 p.m. PST
- Europe: Wednesday, December 30 @ 5:00 p.m. CEST
- Asia: Wednesday, December 30 @ 5:00 p.m. KST
Season 5 will be starting about two weeks afterwards at the following dates and times for each region:
- North America: Friday, January 15 @ 5:00 p.m. PST
- Europe: Friday, January 15 @ 5:00 p.m. CEST
- Asia: Friday, January 15 @ 5:00 p.m. KST[/BLUE]
