Act Levels and Act Sublevels

About Diablo 2 Levels and Act Sublevels

Diablo 2 Act Levels and Act SublevelsDiablo 2 act levels and sublevels are contained within the game’s five acts. When entering a new level within an Act, bold red text with the level name appears across the screen telling the player which level they are entering.

Diablo 2 act levels and sublevels vary greatly in size and importance; some are visited constantly and full of important monsters, valuable treasures, and crucial quest items, while others are small, obscure,  and can be entirely ignored.

Act Levels and Act SublevelsCharacters in the same party must be in the same level to share experience and gold picked up. This sharing is based entirely on the level, not the distance. It’s possible to be less than half a screen from another character, and if they’ve crossed over the boundary to another level nothing will be shared. The same is true in reverse: If two characters are multiple screens apart but in the same level, everything will be shared normally.

Players can move between levels via the waypoint system. Waypoints can only be traveled to once discovered.
