Here’s some great news for Diablo 2 players, the final ladder reset for Diablo 2 Classic before the D2R launch is happening in a matter of days.
This announcement also stresses that Diablo 2: Resurrected is not too far in the distant future. It’s also important to note that there will still be ladder resets for Diablo 2 classic even once Diablo 2 Resurrected has launched. Not everyone will make the move to D2R so at least the old ladders will still be up and running albeit they will be running on a different timescale from each other.
With the Diablo 2 Classic ladder season usually running between 5-6 months, that means Blizzard is on track for a Diablo 2 Resurrected release around November/December.
Please note that we will continue having ladder resets for Diablo 2 Classic in the future. Diablo 2: Resurrected will be on a separate cadence for ladder resets and we will have more information on that as we get closer to launch.
