These work while in the B.net chat channels. Some function when used in-game as well.
* /away (reason): Displays your away status and the explanation to players who might query you.
* /ban (player): Ban specified player. (For Channel Operator)
* /channel (channel): Join selected channel.
* /clan (your name): Create a private clan channel.
* /designate (player): Assigns a Channel Operator, if none is in place.

* /dnd (reason) This command blocks all incoming messages.
* /ignore (player): Squelches messages from this player.
* /f: Sends a message to everyone on your friends list. (Use sparingly to avoid spamming everyone with CC mails.)
* /friends: This displays help instructions on how to use the various friends commands.
* /kick (player): Kick specified player. (Channel Ops only.)
* /msg (player): Sends a private message.

These are commands that are added to the shortcut that starts Diablo II. Go to the shortcut on your desktop or quick start panel, right click, and select properties. By default, Diablo II will show this as the target.

"C:\Program Files\Diablo\diablo.exe"

Add any commands after that, with a space between them. For instance:

"C:\Program Files\Diablo\diablo.exe" -w -act5

* -w: Runs Diablo II in windowed mode, at its natural 480x640 or 600x800 resolution.
* -ns: Starts the game without sound.
* -act 5: Any newly-created characters will begin the game at level 33, and in act 5. (With no waypoints, no quests, and no skill or stat points assigned.)
* -seed: Shows the game seed, based on the time of the game creation. Used in some mods and utilities to recreate that exact same game for replay.
