BlizzCon has been on a hiatus for a while but it’s coming back in full force next year.
BlizzCon will be returning in 2026, I know, it’s not this year, but it’s great to see it returning. Next year the event is being moved in the calendar. Traditionally, the event took place in November but it’s being moved to September. It’s also taking place on a Saturday and Sunday instead of the Friday and Saturday of previous events. The dates to mark down in 2026 are Saturday, September 12, and Sunday, September 13.
The event will take place at the Anaheim Convention Center as usual, and as we understand it, it’s being reimagined to be a much improved event. The last event was not exactly stellar and Blizzard has learned a lot from that. A new team at Blizzard is now in charge of making this event something special for Blizzard fans.
While tickets won’t be on sale for a while, but make sure you check the BlizzCon site and sign-up for any alerts, news, and ticket sales when they go live.
BlizzCon Press Release
We’ve come a long way since our first event in 2005. Over the past nearly 20 years since its inception, BlizzCon has inspired us to innovate, push the boundaries of creativity, and deliver once-in-a-lifetime moments. It’s important that we put on an event worthy of our community. For 2026, alongside BlizzCon staples like Opening Ceremony, in-depth panels, the Darkmoon Faire, friendly competition, hands-on gameplay, and more, we aim to meaningfully elevate this iconic celebration and create an unforgettable experience for all who take part in it. We are building this event just like we build our games: with a deep commitment to our players, with respect for your connections to our universes, and as a celebration of the strength of the bonds formed through shared adventure.
The road to BlizzCon starts here. We can’t wait to share more with you as our plans take shape.
