Season Two doesn’t go live on US until this evening, but it’s already live on Europe and Asia, and things are hopping. I (sadly) didn’t have time to do a real grind to 70 today, but I checked in on our EU clan and there were 47 people playing an hour after the Season began, which is by far the most I’ve seen on at one time since right after RoS launched. (Or since Season One back in August.) So if you’re in a clan or wishing to find some multiplayer fun with friends, the start of a Season can really get it done.
Clan Spam!
One tip, as several people in the clan asked about it. At the start of a season, everyone is *dinging* new Achievements every time they turn over a rock, and with 40+ people playing at once, it’s pretty spammy. There is a solution! Open the clan interface, click to the News tab, and click on the little gear icon at the top right and you can deactivate achievement notifications.
You can turn off Legendary notifications also, but I like to leave them on. It’s interesting, and funny to laugh when someone scores a RoRG… at like level 41.
Item and Banner Previews
You can see all four of the new banner visuals in the screen to the right, if you’re one of those people who are into customizing your banner. Personally I tend to ignore mine, but when I do bother with it, I try to find a color scheme and shape that looks a lot like my actual character in their current gear. It’s like a breeze-waving doppleganger waiting for me in town! And is perhaps useful for other players, when they’re trying to figure which banner to click.

Season Two Conquests
There are 10 conquests previewed in the start screen. Full details of their requirements can be seen in-game. These were all open for testing on the PTR and they’re not easy to complete. The “kill Uniques within 20m of a new game start” one was colorful, since initially it included Iskatu, the Terror Demon you find at the start of Act Four… but only in Campaign Mode. He’s not present in Adventure Mode, which was the only possible game version to do that conquest in. Blizzard fixed that, thankfully.
